Empanada's the place TOGO — Restaurant in Meriden

Holy molasses... I'm so glad I tried this place. The empanadas are nicely full and not empty like in some places. My daughter and I tried the bbq pork and it was delicious. I'll have to go back to try the other flavors. I also ordered the wings and the rice and corn. I love that they have rice and corn because it's such a homey dish. The wings were delicious and their salsa de pollo on the side... 🤤 At the end they also gave us a slice of chocolate cake, which I didn't realize, probably because my daughter was drooling over the cakes lol. Let me tell you, I'm not a big chocolate on chocolate fan, but boy, did that hit the spot. I'm super excited this place is only a few minutes from me. The only reason I was tempted to take a star away was because it's only open 3 days, lol. But honestly, great place to try out. Suggestion, maybe put out a couple tables or chairs...

finally tried this spot and the food was fresh, I got the chicken and cheese empanadas which were pretty good and filled and my husband got the cheese as he is pescatarian. we were hoping to see a shrimp or crabmeat empanada or even veggie for those who don’t eat meat. The cheese empanadas were OK but could have used a little more cheese since it is not packed with any meat. there was a lot of air and putter more than a filling. You are able to choose your kind from a display oven but you’re also waiting 15 minutes for your order! I will be back to try the rice and beans the mac & cheese and the apple pie empanada! parking was a little hassle today on a sunday! but service was professional they just seemed a little discombobulated in the back getting...

We had very low expectations because we saw this being featured on an IG food review and they claimed it was so good. But we had been let down multiple times. Well this one did not! The staff were very nice. The food was good lots of flavor. I will definitely recommend this to everyone I know. Lots of flavor and they were super warm and crunchy. We had the beef chicken and cheese empanadas and a chicken potato ball. The sauce and the mayo ketchup was a perfect add because we forgot to ask for some. We will definitely go again.
