Wendy's — Restaurant in Meridian Charter Township

My husband and I have come to this Wendy’s fairly often, I mean it’s Wendy’s - the food isn’t overly expensive and it tastes good. However, this location is ALWAYS so incredibly slow, even if you’re literally the only person there and all you ordered was a small fry through the drive-thru. Which that’s pretty easy to get over because your food is still good and possibly even made fresh because they’ve been so slow all day they probably aren’t leaving they’re warmers stocked to the brim preparing for a rush that isn’t going to happen for another 2 hours. What I can’t get over, however, is that when we walked into the branch yesterday afternoon the girl at the counter was on her phone. When she noticed the 4 of us come in she threw her phone (very loudly might I add) face-down on the counter and scowled at us. She did not welcome us, she did not smile, and when she realized that we were going to look over the menu before we came up to order she picked her phone back up and resumed doing whatever she had been doing prior to us ruining her down-time. When we did decide what we wanted(against my desire to just leave and get something to eat somewhere else) she again tossed her phone face down, scowled at us, and mumbled through-out the ordering process so we weren’t sure if she had gotten our orders correct and we didn’t hear the total of our order the first 6 times we asked her to repeat it. Icing on the cake was that after we had finished ordering she went over to the drive-thru area and began flirting very loudly with a boy working the window.

Really, this isn’t a bad place to eat if you don’t mind the slow tendency. The staff needs improvement in Customer Service and Professionalism, however, which is the reason...

Location: 4850 Marsh Rd, Okemos. I am a regular visitor to Wendy's restaurants in the metro Lansing area. This one is above average. The sandwiches are normally prepared well. The staff includes some very friendly and helpful people. Some prices have recently gone up. The Jr cheeseburger went up about 40 to 50 cents. The prices are hier in metro Detroit and Indiana as well. The restroom is normally clean and stocked with paper and soap. The interior dining area is sometimes locked by 8pm.

Update: 12-xx-19. Dining area was locked by 8:30pm on a Friday. Posted hrs still show 10pm closing. Drive thru until 12am.

UpDate: Aug '21. Dining area & restrooms still closed.

Update: May '22. Dining area & restrooms still closed. Their closing hrs change unpredictably. They said they are under staffed. So don't order online late in the day. They might be closed. Some new staff. Most are fine. But one new one is a problem. Younger large obese female who smokes. Not friendly or welcoming. Won't give you time to ask a question. Didn't put napkins or straw or spoon in the bag. Closed the window abruptly and turned her back. Did not respond to a light car horn to get her attention. She had to hear it. Very very poor service. She shd not have a customer...

As we pulled up to the restaurant we were able to see the dining room and when we looked inside we saw the employees lounging in the dining room, which wasn’t a problem i understood, but they didn’t look happy at all that we were pulling up. As we arived to the speaker the employee working the drive thru (Clarisma) was sighing very loud as if we were a problem. Mind you, this location was open until midnight and we showed up at 9:11pm, hours before they close. we wouldn’t have came if they were close to being shut down for the night. I ordered the first item from my order and heard nothing from the employee so i waited a couple seconds assuming that she was putting it in the POS system. after a while i continued my order and Clarisma continued to have a rude attitude and sighed everytime i added to the order. We got our total and headed to the window to pay. She opened the window and just stuck out her hand. She didn’t say anything, just glaring at us like we were a problem for ordering in the first place. i give her my money and a minute later she starts handing me drinks. i ordered a coke and a dr pepper and she didn’t tell me which one was which. then she handed us our food and shut the window. 10/10 would NOT recommend going to...
