Pop's Treasure Valley Taqueria — Restaurant in Meridian

It's not a big selection, and they aren't your standard street tacos, but they are really good. They have Asada, Chicken, Pork and Chorizo & Potato (that's both chorizo and potatoes in one taco) It's a whole plate of deliciousness. The only one that wasn't amazing was the asada, that one was kinda plain, still good (good cuts, very lean), just not great.

Chicken- cumin/adobo flavoring, really-REALLY tasty, and I am rarely excited about chicken tacos.

Pork- not carnitas, not Adobada, similar to asada, just pork... so better in my opinion. Good taco.

Chorizo y papas- this is the one that my buddy Milo recommended, it's great. The chorizo is good and the potatoes are diced small and off to the side so that you can add them (I ended up adding them to a few of the tacos). These are better than Andrades chorizo and potato because over there the potato chunks can be too big.

Saw great reviews of this place on Boise food finds so we decided to give it a try. I drive down this road often and hadn’t noticed it before so I am happy i stumbled upon reviews for it. The guy that took our order was super friendly, the truck and kitchen looked clean and the prices were very fair I thought. My favorite part is the potatoes in the burrito and on my taco plate! My mom always made tacos this way growing up and I loved them so I was very excited about that! The taco also came with some grilled onions and a slice of pepper which was delicious. I've eaten twice at my new neighborhood taqueria and I've had the tacos (each variety) and a pollo(chicken) burrito. Which, by the way is a hefty meal, not just filled with rice and beans, there's some serious meat inside. I get both the red and green sauce because, well they're both just so good. My goal is to try every item on the menu, so quesadillas, you're next!
