Second time going through the drive thru here. First time was a great experience and no issues, however this time was a different story.
Was originally greeted by a drive thru attendant (similar to how Chick Fil A does it). I asked to see a menu as we have only been there twice, and he proceeded to wave me up to the drive thru menu which was fine. Was then greeted by a different drive thru attendant, Gage, as we got to the menu. We told him we needed to look and decide and got a sort of eye roll, which was whatever. We then began ordering our food. However, we had a coupon for a free chicken sandwich that we wanted to redeem so we showed him the number and he rudly told us to wait till the end of the order with a really bad attitude that made all of us uncomfortable. I ignored it and continued ordering our food. Throughout, he kept asking if we were done almost rushing us, and at this point, I was getting irritated with his attitude but still just ignored it.
Finally he falsely assumed we were done and asked us for the coupon code which I gave, and I told him I wanted to get some sauces at the end and he verbally grunted at us and decided to get even more of an attitude saying "this is why I told you to wait until the end" in an extremely rude and condescending way. Couldn't believe how unprofessional and rude this kid was.
We tried to call your restaurant for over an hour after to complain over the phone and kept getting a busy line. I'm usually not one to complain or leave reviews like this, but Gage was out of line and needs to be retrained on how to deal with customers if he's going to be working the drive thru.
Probably won't be back to this location again because of how awful Gage made our experience, which could have easily been a simple...
Read moreAs a first-time visitor to Slim Chickens, I walked in with curiosity and left as a genuine fan. The hype I'd heard from friends was considerable, but this place managed to exceed my expectations, largely on the strength of their signature item: the chicken tenders. I went straight for their most famous offering and ordered a plate of tenders. The chicken itself was the star of the show – perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and juicy on the inside with a light, crispy, and flavorful breading on the outside. It wasn't greasy in the slightest, which is a common pitfall for fried chicken. Each bite was consistently delicious, from the first to the last. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the incredible array of dipping sauces. I’m a sauce person, and Slim Chickens is a paradise for people like me. I tried the Slim Sauce, which was a fantastic tangy and peppery signature sauce, the spicy and creamy Inferno, and the classic Ranch. Having so many options to choose from really allows you to customize your meal.Beyond the excellent food, the atmosphere was clean, modern, and inviting. The restaurant was bright and had a relaxed, casual vibe that was perfect for a laid-back lunch. The staff were friendly and efficient, taking my order with a smile and ensuring the food came out quickly and piping hot. Even though it was my first visit, they made me feel like a regular. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. For anyone in the Boise area who hasn't been, or for anyone just looking for top-tier chicken tenders, I can't recommend Slim Chickens enough. It's a definite must-try, and I am already planning my next visit to work my way through the rest of...
Read moreEDIT: JUST TRIED CALLING AND THE LINE IS BUSY LOLOL First off, moronic HIGH SCHOOL KIDS ARE MAKING YOUR FOOD!! Well, I ordered DoorDash Friday 11/3 and no drinks were delivered. DD stated they were not on the online order, even tho receipt states so. I tried calling the restaurant, and the line was literally busy for 3 hours. This past Wednesday 11/8, I went into Slim Chickens to order at the counter. The kid taking orders had zero sense of customer service or wherewithal to know how to guide a customer. I stared at him for a solid 60 seconds, then started giving my order. He stops me mid sentence, and the first thing out of his mouth is, "Is this for here, or takeout?" Buddy, first you greet the guest, then ask them that question, then I can give my order. So all is well and we waited for our order. My girlfriend insisted on going inside bc they take care of people faster when you order at the counter. Such was not the case!! Took a solid 15 mins to get a single tossed chicken sandwich, large fries, and a cayenne chicken sandwich, oh and a chocolate brownie jar dessert. Same kid brings out the order, and asks, "Oh, would you like your dessert?" Ummm, duh, just paid for it lol. Manager on Duty walks hurriedly by, clearly stressed, and apologized for the delay with our order. One thing I noticed was the number of door Dasher who came in and had to ask multiple times for the drinks that were on the order... Sooooo, THURSDAY MORNING I start puking and did not stop ALL DAY 8am-2am. I literally threw up every 30 mins. I'm good on this place!! Thanks for the fantastic...
