Taco Bell — Restaurant in Meridian

Contrary to the handful of sub-par reviews this Taco Bell location has received, I am exceptionally pleased with the multiple experiences I've had with Pedro (at the window) and the mid/late night crew (Ryan and Derek). I normally swing by for a burrito or two after my rock climbing sessions and upon pulling up to the menu/order area, am greeted enthusiastically, asked how my day is going, and given a genuine, professional response when I ask the same. As far as the food goes, it is always piping hot (perfect), tastes delicious, and is prepared with minimal wait time - especially for something made fresh/to order. Last night, the drive through had a sign on it that indicated they needed to close at 11:00 PM instead of the normal 1:00 AM due to short staffing. The crew was still in great spirits and as I arrived at 10:45, I offered to get whatever is easiest for them to make quickly. Pedro assured me they would love to take care of me and make whatever sounded best to me. Upon thanking the crew and pulling away from the drive through, I reached in my bag and noticed they had included an extra menu item in my order as a way of being thoughtful. It really goes to say how much I appreciate this crew and the way they treat people who say "thank you" and appreciate their efforts. I will absolutely be back and cannot wait for my future interactions with this crew and Taco Bell location. I wished the same could be said for all other T-Bell...

WORST FAST FOOD EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!! I could have gone to a full service, sit-down restaurant and had faster service than we received!!!

The Drive Thru was busy, so we decided to walk in (only 2 cars in lot). BAD DECISION!!!! It took us over 40 minutes to get 2 tacos and 2 burritos. And then - they gave our order to another guy, who realized he got the wrong order, and knew that he had come in after us. So, he was actually the person who delivered our order to us. After all that, our food was COLD... WHAT??? After we waited 40 minutes to get it - it's COLD???

This was at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening. At that time of day, they should be fully staffed and able to handle the dinner crowd. There were at least 5-6 employees there - there is NO EXCUSE for this horrible level of service. And even if under-staffed, it shouldn't have taken this long for this type of food. And considering the prior reviews regarding service for this establishment - this shouldn't even be an issue anymore.

How can this management team (I use that term very loosely) continue to provide this level of poor service and not do something to correct it???

Now, I see that all the other reviews say the same thing - HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I will NEVER patronize this location again - and doubt I will ever go to another TACO BELL unless I'm desperate...

Where is Undercover Boss when we need...

it's Taco Bell food, you already know what it tastes like and we wouldn't have gone there if we didn't like it. What I'm driven to write about is the non-caring individuals who were operating the drive thru window tonight around 5:45. We asked if they carried an item we saw advertised just recently on TV (why we went there) and the guy taking the order said no. Didn't make sense but we began to peruse the menu for something else. Finally a different person came on and asked if they could help us, we asked again about that item and she said yes, they have it. So we ordered, get up to the window, and the moron who'd said they didn't have the item had also said we asked for a water as one of the drinks. Oh, when we said he'd said they didn't carry the item, we could hear ANOTHER person in the background said "no he didn't." In short...it's not fair to judge a restaurant in its totality based on one experience. But for this one..one of the people we interacted with was a moron, and the second was argumentative and rude. The third did her best to make it right and get us out of there with a minimum of prolongation of the event. We will NOT be going back to this Taco Bell again. I know it's hard to get good help in this economy, paying low wages to low grade...
