Wow, we stopped in today to give them a try. I'm glad we did! From the moment we walked in the door at 4:05 pm we were greeted and treated very well. Very friendly and considerate. My wife ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and I had the NY Strip Teriyaki Bento Box entree. I'll start by saying that the amount of food I received for $21.00 was incredible. First the Miso Soup and salad (that came with the Bento box). The Miso was very hot (temperature not spicy, a good thing) and the flavor was fresh and very good. The salad was fresh and green (not yellow/ brown or colorless lettuce, like many places) however, I did not much care for their ginger dressing. It was just ok. My personal preference on the taste. It just seemed to lack that bit of "zip" if you will. The steak in my bento box was fantastic. Perfectly medium rare, tender and juicy. The spring roll was also just ok, kind of flavorless. The goyoza, the fried rice and the California roll were all very good. The roll was absolutely fresh and no hint of fishy flavor at all. The fried chicken was tender and very good. Nice crispy batter. Seeing how they cooked my NY Steak, I'm confident the Hibachi entrees will be amazing. We want to try the steak and lobster combo soon. My wife (who is 100% Asian) said the Black Garlic Ramen was amazing. It was also a pretty large portion. I also tried it. I've never had anything with black garlic oil in it. I'm now a huge fan. The boba teas were great. She had Taro and I had Thai tea. We will certainly be back soon to try the Hibachi. Id like to say again the service was impeccable and it's clear our server knows her job. If we had to guess we would say she has worked at some fine dining places before. She just had great etiquette. She was not like a hover fly asking us every 3 min if we need anything. The food came. She stood off for about 45 seconds, then came to ask is everything looked to our liking. We said it did. She waiting a few more mins and asked if we would like anything else. I asked for chili oil. It came and she pretty much left us to eat in peace. She was very polite. I also would like to note that these are all new owners and have nothing to do with the owners of Bangkok House that was there before. That had actually kept us from trying this place sooner. We asked before we were seated because if the previous owners were involved here we would have left. That's...
Read moreFood was good and the service generally was as well. I really appreciate Katherine's (I think that was her name) suggestions when we were ordering. We had a few different items but really enjoyed the "Monkey Brains" which was an avocado dish. My wife had the Bento box which she said was good besides the spring roll which was a bit soggy and the chicken that was very chewy. The steak was great and had a nice flavor. I had the Black Garlic Ramen which was very good and on par for ramen. The service, while very good, was a bit overbearing at times. Our server was great, but you can tell there's a lot of pressure on them to be attentive, and at times it was just a little much. Our busser was EXTREMELY adamant about cleaning our table the exact moment we dropped our forks. Overall, generally good food and VERY...
Read moreupdate there were recently a couple of very positive posts in a local food group highlighting the black garlic ramen, so i went today and had it for lunch...it was spectacular...5 out of 5 stars again...i got the "spicy" and my server was a little concerned...i asked him how it compared to habanero (my baseline go-to for chili peppers) and he promised it was not as spicy...he was right, it wasn't even close, but it was just right to allow the amazing flavors to shine...can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
