Finished a 3 hr cardio appointment and looked forward to having our favorite oriental chicken salad at our favorite Applebee's location on Signal Butte.
Should have listened to bells going off in my head when we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated in a half closed restaurant.
Coffee was lukewarm and little ice in tea. Had to go to the bar to get sugar for coffee when it wasn't delivered to the table.
Grilled chicken was ICE COLD. We had always received it warm, whether it was grilled or fried. Didn't get our extra dressing we requested when placing our order. The server gave us one excuse, the Manger gave us another. At least get your stories straight.
I was so discussed at this point. I couldn't eat anything.
We also asked for our to go order to be placed at the time we ordered our regular food. Was ignored and server tried to say it was almost ready. It wasn't even on the bill when it was presented to us. But they sure did give us a corrected bill with the to go order on it.
Checked that the ribs where at least cooked. But of course, the side that wasn't checked was wrong.
We have never complained to get free food. We come from a family that owns restaurants all over AZ. Another bell that went off is when the Manger was quick to say he'd comp our food. We refused
Did get a discount on the one plate. There is no amount of discounts that will bring us back to this location.
Had been there last month and found our favorite server was gone. Food and service were still good, so only a little disappointed. Maybe she knew something we didn't know.
Maybe that is why the table payment system was also gone. Website doesn't give an option to contact them. I'm not creating an account to do so.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were greeted and seated right away. We were acknowledge right away and he offered to take our drink order bit we literally just sat down and needed time to look at the menu. He brought us water and then came back and took our drink order. Mine/non alcoholic was brought right away but the other two drinks which were alcoholic or not. We waited quite a while for the other two drinks which never came so we stopped another waiter and he got our drinks for us. Our food order was taken and the appetizer order was brought to us then we waited quite a while. My grandson's order was brought and delivered to the wrong table by a different waiter. After a long while finally my son and daughter-in-law's orders were brought to the table but not mine and I waited. Mine was finally brought to the table and they forgot to get my daughter-in-law's French fries. all of our food was served To of us by all different people. My daughter-in-law ordered her steak medium well and she received it medium rare but because no one came back and did a check on our food she went ahead and eat it. when we were 3/4 done with our food finally someone came and did a check back. Most all of the food was fine but the service was disappointing. When we were done the waiter acknowledged that he did not give us good service and gave a 10% discount. Honestly it should have been more. My daughter in law will be contacting the...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty darned disappointed. We waited nearly 45 minutes to get our order (Classic Cheeseburger and Chicken/Shrimp dinner) and there were not many people in the restaurant. The burger had the lettuce almost all out of the bun on one side and the meat patty mostly hanging out the other side of the bun. Pretty hard to reassemble on my plate. The burger was mostly tasteless/bland, like it hadn't been seasoned at all. My wife got mashed potatoes rather than the fries she specified and there were only two very small shrimp underneath her chicken. The waitress was substandard. It was interesting that my wife and I had the conversation during the lengthy wait that with the prices increased due to paying the help a better/livable wage - a good thing - and the "upscale pricing" that is Applebee's standard, we STILL couldn't get reasonable service at the restaurant, nor tasty food. We watched a young employee come to clean-up the table across the aisle from us with her little sweeper in hand... and she just pushed fries on the floor back to the wall and sides of the booth before walking away. Simply bending over to pick them up would have taken care of the issue there, but it apparently didn't occur to the employee to do that. Pretty sad state of affairs. I don't think we'll be back at Applebee's...
