Well, it is a sad night for me and Cafe Mix. I had previously left a glowing, detailed 5 star review and now I have to come on and change to 1 star.
I was so impressed with them before... The very first time I came here, they stayed open way past closing to serve anyone and everyone that was coming. It made me want to suuport them even more! I've worked restaurants before and know what it is like... I loved the atmosphere and attitude of everyone there.... Until now.
So tonight, I come in before closing time. I'll grant, it was close, but not closing time yet. They had everything closed down and refused to take my order. I drove all the way across town to hurry and get there in time. Everywhere I have worked, we would have been fired if we didn't keep the kitchen functional and taking orders until the very last minute of our advertised open times... THEN finish cleaning and closing up.
This time it appeared to be the owner who refused me, so I guess he won't be firing himself. But it's a bummer. He doesn't want my business or my referrals, that's fine. There are others to go to. I tell people constantly they should go here....
Read moreI have never been treated so rudely by an employee! I asked for no onions and when I got back to work to eat , it had onions. I drive back and politely let this woman know. She takes to cook and explains and I see him picking through it to remove onions. I said I prefer a new one as I don’t care to witness someone picking out food from my prior order. I quietly stood near area waiting not interfering with any customers and she asked me to sit down. I said I’m fine and she said I’m making her nervous with an attitude. I said if the order was correct the first time I wouldn’t be here now. She snapped back with a “it was a mistake “ in a rude manner. I have never been treated so poorly in my life!! I will certainly share this experience with as many as I can because no one should be treated this way for doing what I did which was bring back a wrong order and ask for it to be corrected. I welcome a manager to contact me on this. You have lost a customer but based on treatment I received, I’m sure...
Read moreFood is excellent and I would certainly give them a much better rating if the food was the whole experience. I one point, I was eating here at least once a week and it was a very rare sight to see a smile from anyone working here. I have finally reached a point were I will no longer eat here, not because of the food, but because I really don't feel appreciated as a customer. Today was the final straw when my wife and I decided to grab something quickly to go because of a limited amount of time before we went back to our perspective jobs. We found we had about 10 extra minutes, so we decided to sit at a table outside and enjoy some time eating together before we left. The woman who serves the food there came to our table and told us that to go packaging is To GO! and that if we were eating there it needed to be plated. That just really cemented the fact to me that they don't care about there customers and that we are just a burden to them. Great food - Terrible...
