Yay, I, jus had a very disappointing experience, @ the 1950 E.University Dr., location...I, hadn't, been, to a "Panda Express", for, probly, over, a year...This, visit, happened, bcuz, I, had an eye exam, nxt door...&, was hungry, after, the eye exam...So, I, go in &, there, were, 3-4, people, waiting 2 order, &, another, 2-4, people, waiting along the main, 'prep/line/display', counter, waiting, 4, their orders to be completed...I, only, realized, wut the hold-up, was, bcuz, as I was ordering, I, was looking for the "Honey Walnut Shrimp"-bowl/label, but, didn't see it right-off, beings, it's usually, one of the main/featured, items, offered...I, did notice, a big bowl, that, was, labeled, "Chef's-Special", but, it, appeared, to have a few pieces, of, shrimp, in sum kinda sauce...I, ordered, off the over-head menu, instead of pointing, to my choices...So, I, ordered, the 2-item/1-side, combo, w/"Honey Walnut Shrimp", "Broccoli-Beef", w/a side, of, white rice, but, as, I'm ordering, they asked, if, I, minded, waiting, 5+mins.for a 'new'-batch, of, "Honey Walnut Shrimp", to be cooked, &, I, said, no, I'll wait...but, then, I, ordered, the, "Broccoli Beef", &, was, asked, to wait, on that item, for an additional 5+mins., &, agreed, + these, other 3-4 people, were, also, waiting, on 1-2, different items, that, they had run 'low' on...The thing, that, pist-me-off, was when, after all that waiting, etc., they, call my name, bcuz, they, had, thrown my order together, behind the 'scene, bagged it up, &, b-4 I, knew it, the cashier, was already, ringing me up!..What, I, didn't realize, til I had, chect my order, was that, instead, of, the "Honey Walnut Shrimp", that, I, ordered, &, was charged for, incl. $1.25 additional chrg., they, apparently, gave, me, 'whatever', the "Chef's-Special", was, without, notice....It endz-up, that, they had run out of, Walnuts, therefore, were, unable, to have available, that, day..son in chargec.Instead, of, telling/letting, customers know, they, tried to 'trick'/deceive, customers, by not, saying, anyasucallything, &, sub 'stituting, a sub-par dish, (" Honey-Mustard-Srimp"/plain, for, the ever-pipular, "HWS"...The, real kicker, was, the response, from the person, in .charge, bcuz, all I, got was, that, they, ran out of, Walnuts, &, I, was basically 'stuck, with whatever, the 'Mystery'-"Chef's-Special!..+the Broccoli-Beef, was, Broccoli, &, few pieces, of, beef...(Disappointing).+ the, mgr.&, the rest of, the servers, were 'rude',...
Read morei went to interview here And BEWARE. do NOT work at this location..….
The Hiring manager was not fluent in English. He asked me questions that had nothing to do with the job. He yelled at me to sit in a specific seat at the table after I greeted him??? who orders a woman to sit in a different chair like that after being told hello??
If that wasn’t bad enough, I showed up 5 mins early and the hiring manager stayed on his phone across the restaurant, doing god knows what- until our scheduled interview time. How tonedeaf and unprepared!
Lastly, after we had my interview he went on to accuse me of lying about my experience because of the safety issues i experienced at my last job…
long story short, I got brutally attacked and the hiring manager at this location was judgemental and straight up disrespectful about my prior experiences. (I have a background in teaching and understand the lingo isn’t well known but to straight up accuse me of lying because you are uneducated is disgusting)
I had an interview two weeks ago with this man.. He “trains all of the employees” and i’m very concerned for the women that work under him. From my brief encounter i truly believe that He thinks he can get away with anything.. I hope he isn’t like this to the young girls working there. However, if he was i wouldn’t be surprised. I met this man ONCE and this is how i was treated.
Take my experience into consideration if you plan...
Read moreDon’t get me wrong but I love Panda Express. This 3-star review for this store on McKellips spurred me to provide this review. I ordered today a medium a la cart box of the honey walnut shrimp. This was the first time I was given a box 3/4 full. I asked the attendant behind the counter to please fill the box up (since customers pay extra for the premium dishes anyway). I was embarrassed to have to ask. She told me, “you only get 14 pieces”. I then asked where does it state that? She responded that it doesn’t but it company policy. I would imagine counting out pieces might apply to the plates dishes since those don’t have serving sizes associated with them like the boxes do. I wasn’t going to argue and make a scene any more than this; however, the boxes are made for a specific serving size. Do they count out any other dishes like this even for the premium dishes? How about counting out the pieces of steak in the premium steak dish? Of course they don’t do that. They fill the serving size box up. They don’t have to pack it in there but please be reasonable. Next time this happens I will ask for a different dish so that the box serving size is filled instead of the number of little pieces. By the way, some shrimp tails are larger than others. Will you please pick out 14 of the larger ones for me next time? Ridiculous...
