First time in, excited to find a real steak and cheese but had to take my sub home and cook it myself. Ordered the $22 classic cheesesteak to split, barely full of meat, came with lots of onions and a few mushrooms on one half, no peppers. Went up and asked for peppers because they weren’t on our sub and was told they don’t come on it. (It’s on the menu in the description as well as in the picture as well as online.) Was told they aren’t sure why the menu says that because it doesn’t come with peppers (???). Was asked what kind of peppers we want because there’s 2 kinds and we’re supposed to specify (I thought they didn’t come on it??) Was given a ramekin of uncooked peppers. Asked for a side of mushrooms since there were barely any on the sub, was asked if we wanted them cooked or raw (um what ???). Asked for them to be the same way they are made when making this sub. Was given a ramekin of warm but uncooked mushrooms. Then went home and put all the contents in a pan and sautéed the ingredients to make a sub. That part wasn’t hard. What was hard was spending $30 for a sub and a drink and tip to go home and remake the sub after being lied to about what the menu says. If you make a mistake, just fix it. If it was someone else’s mistake, fix it and correct them privately and respectfully especially if they’re training which I’m assuming was the case here. Oh and staff members should never berate other staff members in front of customers. It’s obnoxious and makes everyone uncomfortable. 2 stars because the sub roll was...
Read more15 MILES and everytime I come i wait about 20 minutes for my sandwich but i come back because its usually pretty good even though service lacks almost everytime. Today, I waited 40+ MINUTES for 3 sandwichs but the manager and 2 other workers were sitting ON THEIR PHONES and giggling by the front where we can obviously see them and they can see us, sitting there with no food. So I went up to them and asked nicely how much longer it would take to receive our sandwiches and he said they already made them. So then he goes to the kitchen and sees the sandwiches just sitting there and have been for 40 MINUTES , and TRIED TO GIVE THEM TO US AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN SITTING THAT LONG AND WERE NICE AND COLD now, so we asked for a refund and the manager, and the other female worker ran to hide in the back once that happened and the other kid got upset that we asked for a refund, so he proceeded to continue being rude and after giving us our money SLAMS THE REGISTER and walks away. In LA, i went to capriottis all the time, its my favorite sandwich place and never had any issues over there, but this one they always have awful customer service, eveyone is on their phones and doesnt care. We were the only people in there, and you cant get one order out in under 40 minutes? Never going back, gave them atleast 20 CHANCES. Ill just drive to Los Angeles and get the capriottis...
Read moreCapriotti's is a top of the line sub. From the bread to the ingredients this is a superb sub. Way above average. Some of the premium meats include sliced roast beef, pastrami, roasted turkey, and quality Italian cold-cuts. I've had almost everything on the menu and it's always way above average. If it's your first time go ahead and get their famous Bobbie sub. But after that don't shy away from the rest of the menu. Amazing meatball, cheese steak, chicken cheese steak...get the grilled onions & hot peppers. Add any other yummies like grilled mushrooms or even tomatoes and you've got the Mona Lisa of subs on your plate. Price is right on target for a quick business lunch... medium sandwich with a cup for water is less than $10. You can join their rewards program and get additional bargains.
I have to add my usual complaint though...the sandwiches are served wrapped in an ungodly amount of paper. I loathe having to deal with strategically unwrapping my sub while simultaneously avoiding knocking over drinks, colliding with fellow lunch compatriots' papers and generally stressing over reams of sandwich paper. I know for an absolute fact that there is a better sandwich wrap solution. ...
