My husband and I visited 7 Garden Dumpling and Noodle House for the second time today, hoping for the same delightful experience we had during our first visit. Unfortunately, our expectations were shattered.
While our order was promptly taken, the service quickly took a nosedive. My husband's food arrived promptly, but mine never made it to the table. Imagine the frustration of sitting at a dinner table, watching someone else eat while your hunger grows and your patience dwindles. It's not just about the food; it's about the experience, the anticipation of enjoying a meal together, and the disappointment when that expectation isn't met.
This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction is infuriating. Dining out is supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but our evening was marred by neglectful service. Sadly, this second visit has left such a sour taste in my mouth that I can confidently say I will not be returning to 7 Garden Dumpling and Noodle House.
I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to address their service issues and prioritize the satisfaction of...
Read moreThis is a "noodle house" which doesn't serve great noodle dishes. I've sampled the "spicy beef brisket" and "wonton" choices, both with bok choy and egg noodles.
Worse of those is the "spicy beef brisket." It uses Sichuan peppers for spiciness, which produce a metallic taste. THAT—combined with salty broth, reddish hue, beef, scallions, and generous portion—caused a sensation of consuming an endless nauseating bowl of blood. And Hannibal Lecter might be able to stomach such revolting nourishment. My own stomach edges uncomfortably closer to vomiting the more I eat.
Better is "wonton," specifically due to absence of spiciness (i.e., the Sichuan peppers) and meat.
However, any noodle soup from this place is spoiled by the mushy, tasteless egg noodles. Being old, previously frozen, or overboiled—or a combination. (Even though the dumplings are advertised as made in-house) all their noodles appear to be...
Read moreI wanted to try out a new Chinese spot and called in to order. I requested Mongolian beef with noodles and orange chicken with fried rice, nothing crazy. They told me both entrees only come with steamed white rice but I could order a fried rice dish or noodle dish instead. I asked if they keep the noodles and fried rice separately stored from meat, not pre mixed and they confirmed it’s not pre mixed. So I asked why can’t they simply substitute both sides of white rice with noodles and fried rice, happy to pay extra because I didn’t want the other dishes they suggested. They told me no again, they won’t do it.
I hung up and ordered from another Chinese place and requested the exact order I attempted with them and had no issue. I wasn’t asking for crazy substitutions, absolutely no reason they couldn’t accommodate. I’ll never order from them when they have zero flexibility, pretty ridiculous on...
