This was me and my girlfriend's first time coming to visit, we live right across the street and just discovered the place.. Most of the staff was very friendly. There was one lady i cant remember her name but she had blonde shorter hair. She was very helpful and was gracious to let us know that there were kitties in the back with leukemia that also needed some love. We were thrilled to know. The lady with the blonde hair was super sweet, but the gentleman Stew was kind of rude. He shorted us on our time after the sweet lady asked us if we wanted to see the kitties in the back as she felt we gave off a calming presence and they dont always get as much attention. Stew was quick to shut it down and say we had only 5 min left even though we paid for and hour and he gave us maybe 30 min. He was really rude to the sweet lady staff member in front front of us who was trying to give us a chance to check out the leukemia cats. It was a little upsetting and with the way he was acting, i didnt want to hear it so i paid for an extra 30 min even though he was being a jerk. I felt the other cats in the back needed some love too.. after buying an extra 30 min the nice lady showed us to the back to see the other cats and told us to clean our hands before and after and that we could go in and visit them. Even though stews rude behavior was the only reason we paid more money to visit the leukemia cats and he was aware that was our intention when buying it.. it didnt take him too long to wonder back and ask us who let us in.. i could only imagine he gave the sweet lady an earful.I know hes a vet, but he was the only reason our visit wasnt 5 stars. Im not trying to be disrespectful, buthis behavior could affe t the experience while it should be about the cats. Other than that wed love to come back maybe just on someone...
Read moreUpdate: I guess the owner has never heard of a cat lounge cause that would more aptly describe this place. My two female friends were told to put their small purses on the counter. The lady’s wording and body language made it pretty clear it was an order not an optional request. I totally understand needing to stop the transmission of FELV (not FIV, my bad). But between entering the main room, going to the FELV room, and then leaving we were told to sanitize/wash our hands half a dozen times. Also, no idea what they are talking about regarding giving them an idea to design a new t-shirt.
I have been to about a dozen cat cafes across the US and Canada. This one is pretty average if not just below average. Overall, I will probably not visit here again and would highly suggest checking out the PHX Cat Cafe downtown instead.
Pros: -Lots of vertical space for the cats and seating for customers. -Cute little vending machine where you could get cat treats for 25 cents -Allowed to enter 30 min before reservation time since the place wasn’t busy
Cons: -No cafe, just a small table with some snacks and Keurig coffee you can buy -The whole placed smelled like litter and the FELV room was very bad -The FELV room was very small for that many cats (probably 10’x10’ with about 8 cats). There were no windows to outside or anyway to get any natural light and the one and only shared litter box was sitting in the corner. -You have to put your purse or crossbody bag on a table near the entrance since they don't want them hitting a cat. I have never been to a place that does this and since you put it on a table near the entrance you just have to hope it does not get stolen -The one staff member was not seem very friendly and just kept telling us to go wash our hands and then sanitize them...
Read moreI was in Arizona for a week and visiting a cat cafe here was on top of my list. I was so happy coming there, I just visited them again before I needed to fly back to Germany next Sunday.
The place is very tidy, calm music ( good for cats aswell ) and the owner is very polite. You definitely see that the cats getting treated very well. They have nice fur and they looking very chilled. If you sit down and wait a little, there will be always a cat coming for a head pat. They also liked to play a lot with their toys.
Of course some cats are shy and don’t want to be cuddled. A lot of cats are also sleeping but cats sleep like 16h a day. But personally, I could watch them sleep the entire day aswell.
Last thing to mention, there is another room( which is also very nice, clean) with separated cats which has a sad disease, so they can not live together with the „healthy“ ones, but that’s ok! Definitely ask if you can see those cats aswell, they love to be patted and will most likely lay down on your lap :)
If I would live in the US I would adopt multiple cats from there immediately, they are just adorable tigers.
I can just recommend visiting that place if you are into cats like me.
@owner: keep up the good work, even when it seems hard sometimes. Your tigers are worth it :)
