I have been a fan of LJS most of my life. My aunt would take us there after church at least 1x per month.
Opening up the box to pieces of fish layered into of the crispies, the smell of the batter they use, the chicken and its unique taste only to LJS, the hush puppies so freaking good. So many good memories.
Anyway, I stopped into this location about 14 minutes before they closed. I had come from the LJS/Taco bell location on Baseline. The Baseline location had run out of hush puppies. I was big time in the mood for hush puppies. Now calling myself a hush puppies fan of LJS is kind of an understatement. There are times I have ordered a few hundred of them, and frozen them for later. I ordered last night 72 hush puppies, an 8 piece family meal, 10 extra fish, and 10 extra chicken. Two sides of cole slaw. The cashier was having a hard time trying to figure out how to ring up 72 hush puppies. My recommendation to LJS is create a cheat sheet for these kids who math isn't their specialty. Create it in multiples of 6 in progression. 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42... up to 144. That way they can figure out how many to ring up. Or keep a calculator by the register. Outside of this, the process went extremely smoothly. The young man cleaning up offered me a courtesy drink since the order was going to take about 20 minutes. Everything came out and everything ordered was in the bags, as ordered. They threw in a couple extra hush puppies. The manager helped me also take it to my vehicle since I was in a surgical boot. He wished me a happy Easter, and a great weekend. He thanked me for my business. I returned the same courtesy.
Many people seem to blast LJS. But the fact is this is a comfort food eatery. When you walk through the door you know you are here for a fish fry style meal. Now LJS does offer semi healthy alternatives, but this is not their long time specialty. Stop whining about everything cooked in oil, it's what they do and do well. If you don't like that style then don't freaking eat it, simple as that. I don't like salad bars and vegan food. But I don't go around blasting a restaurant which serves this food because I choose to eat there. Why don't I do this... Because I chose to eat there and knew what style of food I was purchasing.
Everyone at this location was nice, the meal arrived hot, they offered a courtesy drink for the long wait, they even assisted me with the food to the car.
I would have given them 5 stars but the inside of this location really needs some TLC on the baseboards and some other decor.
Keep up the good work for those folks who do like what you are offering. For those who don't like their food, I am blowing...

On an impromptu visit which was totally unplanned, I stopped in for some lunch. Sometimes dining experiences can be hit or miss but this one hit the mark and was indistinguishable by virtue of one "Chandler" who made it outstanding, fulfilling, delicious and gratifying.
Initially there was some confusion with my order as I use the app and had a free item that caused what I feel was unnecessitated stress. I kept telling the young lady that I pressed the button on the app to put into my cart but she insisted that she could not find and it became increasingly rude and dismissive. It made me feel uncomfortable as though I was lying or trying to get something for free but nothing could be further from the truth because I was telling the truth and it was very disconcerting.
Nevertheless, Chandler to the rescue as they called him to the front having superior knowledge on issues with the app. He was kind, personable, and receptive. It made me feel better but awkward as I stood there behooved although he was charming, gracious and helpful. To that point he found the item by simply entering my phone number into the register database and whalah!
My food was thoughtfully prepared, hot, delicious and he made what started out, rather what could have been a horrible experience into an awesome one. This is what champions repeat visits because not only did he take the time but he really seemed to care. That speaks volumes and its appreciated which warrants this 5 star plus 100 stars review making a 500 review and most assuredly most deserving predicated on his willingness to go the distance by simply coming to the register to help and he did! Thank you CHANDLER!...
Read more😃This location has a dining area inside and a drive-through. 🐟🍤🍟They do have a couple of grilled options on the menu, but most everything else is deep-fried. Sides are usually waffle fries, corn, rice, green beans, or coleslaw. This will not be a low-calorie meal. It is also not "fast" food. Once your order is placed, you will probably have to wait 15-25 minutes for it to be prepared. ⏱️ 🍴The dining room was clean when we came in for dinner. 💲They had a couple specials and they do have an app with some rewards and loyalty deals.📲It will still be about $10-$20 per person depending on what you order. 😋We ordered their classic fish and chips(waffle fries), some fried shrimp, and a piece of the white-meat, fried chicken strip. They used to have the condiments out in the dining area, but this location just had packets of cocktail sauce, ketchup, tartar sauce, ranch, hot sauce, sweet & sour sauce, honey mustard, and malt vinegar. The food was good. It was hot when we got it. It did take at least 20 minutes for it to be ready. When my grandma was alive, she would say she had a craving for "grease" and we knew that she wanted to eat at Long John Silver's. If you like fried foods, this is a great restaurant. 🏴☠️⚓🔔They also still have a ship's bell by the exit door that you can ring if you received great service during...
