Tacos are my favorite food. I've eaten thousands of them from restaurants and from abuelitas from Mexico and across the US. NEVER in my life have I had anything this good! The tortillas are so fresh and chewy they could be a meal by themselves, and they hold together your taco like they were born for the job. The pico, crema, pickled onions, and salsa are wonderful. The meat though.... Oh. My. GOD! Smokey, complex, flavorful, there really aren't words significant enough to describe the taste. I was just blown away by it! Pastor, carne asada, even the CHICKEN was life altering! The employee who helped us when we couldn't read the menu was so sweet and saved us money by recommending the $2 taco Tuesday special. It took about 15 minutes to get our order, but given the quality I'm pretty sure they were making EVERYTHING fresh, so it makes sense. When he brought us our order he threw in a free churros for each of us because it was our first time. I appreciated that, but didn't think too much of it till I tasted them. These churros are the PERFECT ending to a perfect meal. Forget what you think you know about churros, forget the fair, forget Disneyland, all other churros are unworthy to even share a name with these warm, creamy, crispy, sticks of pure joy. On my drive to this restaurant, my expectations were mixed as I saw the 5 star rating on the app although I had no idea about that when I would see it occasionally when shopping in the area. This restaurant is unassuming with its overall size and its sleek outer design, pulling into the drive thru I was greeted by a friendly gentleman (who I would later find out is the owner) and he patiently took my order and helped me order exactly what I wanted. They were extremely personable and let me know my food would take a few minutes as it’s made to order and is served extremely fresh. I ordered the carne asada fries which so many other places sell so I wanted to see how they stand out against everyone else as this was my first time here. The food was delicious, within the first bite I knew I was eating something unlike everyone else’s version of this dish. The flavors were intense and very distinct, each bite better than the last. The meat is very tender and tasty, I often feel that other places have “dog food meat” that has a horrible texture and taste where as here it was obviously good quality meat and prepared perfectly. WOW! We are visiting from out of town and we were on the hunt for some good Mexican food. We have a lot of really good Mexican food at home so expectations were really high. As we got closer to the location we were not sure what to expect thinking it being on Main Street we would be in more of a “downtown”, it’s a little spot on a main drag, kind of in a parking lot. The drive thru seemed busy but we sat on the patio which was lovely and very comfortable. We ordered the 1/2 lb steak which came with rice, beans, guacamole and a pasta salad, an asada taco on flour, chicken taco on flour, a pork tostada type thing (can’t remember the name, sounds like vampire 🤪), rolled up chicken tacos and an Elote. Everything we ordered was incredible, super simple flavors with massive taste. Definitely recommend the flour shells and all the meat choices we ordered were equally fabulous. Service was exceptional and the owner as we were leaving and paid our bill gave us complementary churros. He was so friendly and went above and beyond making our experience what it was.
