Where do I begin? Ok, for starters, the sign on the outside of the establishment, as well as the menus reads "Hot Wok" just in case there's some confusion as to which restaurant I'm referring. The customer service was top notch that is, until the order was ready to go. I did not dine in so I stopped one of the empty tables on my way out to check if all the items were there (it was a pretty large order). As I'm removing items from my bag and placing them on the table, the same friendly employee who took my order was now rushing me out of the door with "good night, thank you for coming. Good nite, good nite." All this between cheerfully greeting other patrons who apparently phoned in their orders and came in to pick them up. So much for top notch service. So after I was satisfied that my order was complete, I put the items back in the bag, bid the employee a good evening and excitedly went home to have my highly anticipated dinner. Now, the food. It was piping hot! SUSPICIOUSLY piping hot! The white rice that was put in my order was absolutely mushy, like oat meal. The egg Fu yun was flavourless and consisted mostly of huge chunks of egg, (with barely any other ingredients at all), and the gravy was thick enough to choke a horse! Even worse, there was a faint liver aroma wafting from the patties. Disappointed and still hungry (and now broke), i tried another dish as I could not stomach this. The smell of liver mixed with all that egg was just too much. Can you imagine liver and eggs? Yuck! The orange chicken compared to the orange chicken served at Panda Express, but the sauce had a nice spicy kick to it, which I loved! ❤️ But, the texture of the meat was questionable. It did not chew like any chicken I had ever had, except at Panda Express (when I was served you, day-old, food that hadn't been tossed as it properly should have been). Major turn off. The chicken fried rice had meat in it that was oddly shaped, in fact, kinda curly. I stopped eating that! And the shrimp I bought for my family was old, and gummy. Turned out none of the meal was savory at all. I just paid good money for a big bag of disappointment. But the...
Read moreI recently had a really unfortunate experience here, specifically with the person providing the service, Anahi. I must say, it was quite a letdown. The customer service I received from Anahi was absolutely horrible and left a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally.
First of all, I ordered a sushi roll, and to my disappointment, it did not taste good at all. It was bland and lacked any kind of flavor. Naturally, I approached Anahi and kindly requested a replacement. However, instead of offering a solution, Anahi insisted that I order a completely new sushi roll. It was frustrating to have to pay for an extra roll just because the first one was subpar.
To make matters worse, when I asked for some extra sushi sauce to take home, Anahi had the audacity to charge me extra for it. Not only that, but Anahi was actually laughing at me while explaining this outrageous charge. It was a clear display of unprofessionalism and lack of respect for their customers.
Adding insult to injury, I also decided to try their horchata, but it tasted like it had expired. The flavor was off, and it left a strange aftertaste in my mouth. It was disappointing to see that even a simple drink like horchata was not up to par.
Overall, my experience at MV Snacks and Sushi with Anahi was a complete disappointment. The terrible customer service, the refusal to replace a poorly made dish, the extra charges for basic condiments, and the expired-tasting horchata all contributed to a truly unpleasant dining experience. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment if they value good service and...
Read moreUsed to go to this place maybe about 5 years ago... all the time since I lived literally 2 minutes away. It was great. But now it's complete trash! We got a agua de la Rosa. Discussing! It's basically cold coffee with peanuts, some milk, and whip. The milk, whip, or coffee they use was spoiled. You can taste it in the coffee. One person ordered it for themselves and two others tried it to confirm it was indeed spoiled. We asked to get a replacement and the girl said she was going to do it and never brought us out another one. I ordered crepas. waited 50 minutes before we asked where our order was. (They usually take forever so I was trying to be patient) The same girl said that they messed up and and didn't want to give us the wrong thing. She gave us a churro cheesecake. Well the crepes are 7.99 and the churro cheesecake is like $5. How does that even seem like a fair trade. Customer services trash. Food is trash....
