Like I said. As a long term customer this is the first time I felt I needed to post a “REVIEW” because of how nasty Sarah acted towards me my daughter and my family! I have no reason to lie! Her and I had words after she spoke in her launage to the shop owner (like I don not know what she was saying) I heard everything she was saying and I immediately addressed her because of how rude she was! It does not matter how you think you made the customer feel, and as a long term customer I am honest about how RUDE AND UNAPPRECIATED SARAH WAS and was braiding my daughters hair so Tight she was crying the whole time! Manager was not there but the guy that runs the shop and even he had to step in and say something to SARAH AND MYSELF because I had to let her know I will not tolerate someone doing my kids hair that’s not happy with the price that was quoted! After I told her that she immediately said “the next time I’ll have the shop owner braid her hair” she SPOKE THAT IN ENGLISH! After that I knew I was never going to that shop again and neither will my family and friends! What other reason would I have to post a review if there was no issues after going to your shop for over 8 years!?!? Come on now,.. let’s keep it real. My first experience at this shop was well over 12 years. The braider did such a great job on the singles (two strand twists) I wanted so I decided to return. On 4/13/19, I had crochet braids done by Vivian and she did a fabulous job! Mercy beaucoup! I’m a middle school teacher. I received many compliments about my hair from several staff & students. Many students liked it so much they literally couldn’t keep their hands off my hair (lol). I have yet to experience any pain, but a little discomfort which is to be expected so no biggie. The pricing is reasonable. What you’re quoted over the phone is what you actually pay. Aida & Vivian we’re both very friendly. I arrived 30 mins before my scheduled appointment & was in a chair about 10 minutes after arriving. Aida called me a few hours before my appointment to confirm that I was still coming. I’m completely unbothered by the fact that they speak French when communicating with each other. If you’re that insecure or easily offended then there are plenty of braiders in the Valley who are monolingual—speak English only. I have got my hair braided here and paid $350 for small braids waist length. I like my braids small and no scalp to show, so the sections have to be smaller. The top was done great but in the middle and back to spaces were to big. I feel this was done because they don’t like to do small braids at this salon because it takes longer. I was really disappointed because I like to support small businesses as I am a licensed cosmetologist and know what stylist go through. But when I pay $350 I want my braids done right. I went back up there to talk about it and show where the spaces were too large. I wanted to talk in private but the owner insisted to talk in front of her other clients and it was not professional because I don’t like to argue in front of anyones paying clients. I had her redo two braids in the front and then left. I ended up asking one of my old cosmetology students who braid to help me fix the back as I teach cosmetology school as a licensed instructor as well. She helped me fix it and it looks so much better. I will be perusing finding another braiding salon that will not take the price up but yet not want to...
