We've been very satisfied customers of Rosita's for over 25 years. We have often, and still do, frequent other restaurants, including many Mexican food restaurants. I'm a pretty dang good cook myself, including Mexican food. To our thinking, Rosita's (and Macayo's) are among the very, very best.
Although they are not as truly authentic (auténtico) as the restaurants in, say, New Mexico, it's damned hard to find any Mexican food place that serves such truly delicious (delicioso) food as does Rosita's!
We have NEVER been treated with anything but the most gracious and courteous service. Our favorite waitress is Jesse, who takes care of us as though we were her 1st cousins!
The prices are extremely reasonable, the service is excellent, and the only criticism I have to make is that god-awful Mexican music they have tortured us with for all these years! If you're of Mexican heritage, I'm sorry, but the truth is that music is worse than awful!
The decor is not the greatest. It's old and badly needs replacement, but for us, the bottom line isn't about the damn music, or the old, ugly decor; no, it's about the food! We absolutely love it and we'll be back!

Read moreFirst and last time here. When I got there, nobody was at the door to greet customers. I stood there for a bit until a waitress who was just starting her shift said, “Hey, someone go outside and help!” That’s when someone finally came to greet me.
A guy brought chips and salsa, but the salsa had zero flavor. I ordered shrimp fajitas — nobody mentioned the shrimp was considered a side, which is fine, but it should definitely be explained.
Now, the magic of fajitas is the tortillas… and that’s where everything went wrong. They brought me old, dry, reheated tortillas with no taste. I asked the waitress if she could change them, and she said, “They’re all like that.” I told her, “That’s bad, the whole point is to make tacos, and these are hard and stale — look.”
I didn’t even finish my food. Just felt like “🤷🏽♂️.” She tried to make it up with a discount or an explanation, but honestly, the damage was already done.
Came in with expectations, left with a bad taste....
Read moreWe used to love this restaurant, used to. Unfortunately the service is not the same at lunch time as it is in the evening when Tia Jesse works. They have also changed the menu, increased the prices and it seems that they also reduced the portion size. My 15 year old daughter is rather petite and usually orders off of the kids menu as the portion size is appropriate for her. She is no longer allowed to do this. She ordered an adult meal instead that came with a massive amount of rice, the enchilada seemed no bigger and the portion of black beans was also the same but the price was 4 dollars more. Mind you my daughter is not a fan of the rice but will mix some in with her beans so she can have a complex protein. Needless to say we are likely to not go back. With the inflexibility to meet our families needs, the lack of service and the price increase it is no longer a good choice. We will miss...
