I’m not the type to leave bad reviews however I’ve had 2 not so great experiences here and thought it was time. The first instance occurred when I took my wife to eat here because she likes their green chilaquiles. We ordered them with meat and when our plate arrived it had no meat. We informed the young lady and she quickly took it back. Upon the kitchen receiving it the cook angrily grabbed it threw meat on it and threw our plate out in front of the nice young lady. The second instance occurred last night 11/30/24, my wife is currently not consuming any dairy. We asked the nice young lady if they used butter or oil when warming the tortilla and she said “let me ask” she seemed like she was scared to ask guess who… your right! The same dude that threw our plate previously. He told her oil and then came back and said butter. We asked if they could accommodate us and use oil for my wife’s tacos and she said “they don’t have any oil” I think she was just afraid to tell that guy to use oil. Nonetheless we left and didn’t eat there and really don’t plan...
Read moreI went there with my daughter and my wife to buy for the family (all carry out)...
We order the following: 2 Gorditas with chicharrón prensado 5 sopes de queso 1 torta cubana 1 torta de milanesa y 13 tacos de bistec...
No need to mention amount of money spent...
As for what we bought, not to exaggerate, the only thing that had a good taste was the two gorditas con chicharrón prensado...
Everything else: The 13 tacos were extremely salty. The 5 sopes de queso had not taste at all. The torta cubana was extremely dry with a very small amount of food Inside. The torta de milanesa was extremely dry and the milanesa was super crunchy due to be over cooked with no taste at all. ( milanesa is supposed to be a super soft meat )...
It's unvelievable that of all the different kind of food we order, only two gorditas de chicharrón prensado have a good taste...
It was my first time at this place and it definitely was my last...
Read moreThe place is reminiscent of the little taco shops alongside a truck stop, whose sole purpose is to feed the hundreds (maybe thousands) of hungry patrons needing to refill their gas tank or use the restrooms.
They won’t win in presentation with how they served my Chilaquiles… that’s for sure. However…the Lengua Tacos were so tender and fresh! I should have just gotten 6 of those for myself. The Cuban Torta was ginormous, it could probably feed 4 people. No longer had any room to try the Quesadillas, it was flavorful and cheesy, but lacking in meat.
All in all, it was still pretty good to try, but despite the easy drive from home, would only return for those Lengua Tacos (yum!)
Green sauce = awesome Red sauce = meh Cleanliness = 👍🏼 Atmosphere = easy going, language barrier if you can’t speak Spanish; best to just get takeout...
