Decided to check them out to see what was so "world famous" about them. Guess it was all the articles they have posted. The building is nice but the GPS give bad directions when coming from the mall. Go to the next uturn because the uturn in from of Gus's won't allow you into their oy driveway. There is dining or takeout options. The prices are pretty high in my opinion. 8pc $25. 3pc with 2 sides $13 and .50C to change a side. The chicken only comes spicy. It's not too spicy but if you don't do spicy, don't eat it. Was told the tender is the least spicy thing. The snacks come with 2 slices of cold white bread and the chicken in a brown paper bag. The meals come in Togo boxes or if dining in, on plates. The cold slaw was pretty good but a little to watery for my liking. The okra was good just wish it was fried a little more crispy. The chicken had a decent taste. It was between bland and spicy with an aftertaste of salt. Definitely a northern seasoning technique. The coating of the chicken was pretty tough for me,Ike when chicken is fried too long after being coated in flour. The meat of the chicken was pretty good, but as with most places, the breast was very very dry.

The young lady sat us and took our drink orders right away. When she came back she explained the $10 plate specials. We decided on the white meat special, 2 breasts and 1 wing with baked beans and potato salad, and the 4 drumstick plate with cole slaw and Mac & cheese. You should know any substitutions to the basic plate is an automatic upcharge. It came to the table faster then I expected hot & fresh. The chicken is coated in a wet batter crust and has a little heat to it, but not so hot a little one would be unhappy. I enjoyed the flavor of the crust, I wish it had a little less salt, and that the chicken meat had some of that flavor, but it was very good overall. The sides, well everyone has their own tastes. While I enjoyed all the things I tried, I feel the potato salad was too sweet for me, although the sweetness of the cole slaw made sense to me. It cut some of the heat from the crust. The Mac & cheese was good and definitely home made, I like a cheesy Mac, not cheese soup with Mac. It had a yummy flavor that went well with the chicken. As someone who grew up on Popeyes this is very different, but just as delicious.

I went into the Metairie location today to order my usual kids meal. When I reached the counter and began to state what I wanted, I was informed by the cashier that”the new policy is that you have to have a kid with you to order a kids meal”. I then said okay, let me get the two piece dark but then changed my order to two chicken legs. I then left after getting my order but returned and asked can you show me the policy that states you must have a child with you to order a kids meal. The manager Tasia then said it was in an email and I stated that where is it posted in the restaurant. I then asked could I get a copy of the policy. She then went to the back, plate in hand and after waiting a while she returned. She then stated that her GM which his name is Tony was on the phone. I stated that I didn’t want to speak to the GM, I wanted to see where the policy was located. She then stated , “that it was verbally told to them by the owner”. I then stated that “ it’s supposed to be posted in the store or on the menu”. She then stated, “we will let the owner know”. I then stated that I was going to go to someone higher than them. I am a customer who would normally come to this location 2-3 times a week and get the same thing but lately it’s been an atmosphere of unpleasant and don’t care about the customer experience. I visited previously and was told that there was a price increase and had no problem paying but the prices did not reflect what was being stated. The menu had one price and the employee mentioned another price. The same manager on duty was Tasia and to be honest she doesn’t display management capabilities. She always gives an unprofessional attitude of arrogance and comes across as if she does not care about if you come in or not. During this visit today the kitchen staff members found it to be hilarious and was eating while in the cooking station, just to be specific the staff member with a burgundy shirt on had no hair net, gloves or visor while preparing customers food. I don’t recommend this location to anyone, managers who act like you owe them for coming to the restaurant. I will let all I know that this is not the same place when they...

We enjoy the food when it's actually hot and fresh and juicy when we get it. We usually get dry and unjuicy chicken half the time. And sometimes we get our food cold. The server usually ignores us when we ask for a drink refill while waiting for our food. It's like pulling teeth. The bathroom smells horrible and is usually nasty when we dine in. I am allergic to Cole Slaw, and for some odd reason, the server didn't want to hear it or even allow me to substitute it for something else unless I paid the extra charge, which I find inappropriate regarding an allergic reaction to one of their items. Then she brought the slaw with my food anyway. I had to send everything back, and they had an attitude about it. It took longer to get my food, and the chicken was dry and tasted nasty. Do they do that to all their customers? I hope not. I found it very unprofessional that they didn't care if they killed me with my allergic reaction to slaw and charged me extra to have something different when I should have been able to just get something different because of my situation. The server was rude, rolled her eyes at me,, and stated, "WHATEVER." IF I COULD DO NEGATIVE STARS,...
