I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Metairie Mooyah location on August 24, 2025. This used to be one of our favorite burger spots, but after tonight, we will not be returning. When we placed our order, instead of the usual metal trays, we were handed a bag. When I clarified we were dining in, an employee claimed they had no clean trays—all were dirty. Yet, I could clearly see only two tables had customers and both had their food on trays. Later, when my wife’s order came out wrong, I returned to the counter and I noticed there was a large stack of clean trays between the prep station and the cashier’s station. When I questioned the inconsistency, an employee who identified himself as the “manager,” named Jachovee (spelling uncertain), reacted unprofessionally. Yes I made a general comment, not directed to anyone in specific, but as me saying “they are lazies”…even though I didn’t personally directed the comment to him or anyone directly, obviously his behavior took it as personal. Instead of addressing the real issue respectfully, he became defensive, dismissive, and combative—calling me “bro,” raising his voice, and even stating he didn’t care and that they were short handed…Even if that was the case, you have to still act professional. He even said he didn’t care to lose his job if I contacted corporate because he had “three other jobs.” …At one point, it appeared the trays were deliberately removed from sight, raising both health and honesty concerns. If they were truly dirty, they should not have been stacked by the food prep area where customers walk up. This employee’s behavior escalated to the point where I felt unsafe and considered calling the police in case the situation turned physical. Which I did just to make sure he didn’t follow me or my wife outside the restaurant. I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect in a restaurant or anywhere. What should have been a simple dine-in meal turned into an unpleasant confrontation. As a longtime customer who has recommended Mooyah to many others, I am disheartened. Your food may be good, but unprofessional staff attitudes like this will drive loyal customers away. Tonight you didn’t just lose a sale—you lost a customer who has supported this location for years.

Okay so it was my first time ever coming to mooyahs I've herd the hype about people from out of state telling me how awesome they are... first off when I got to the counter to order I told them it was my first time here and was unsure on what to order...I was rushed into ordering...the staff looked all frantic running around all over the place... I made 3 orders for me and two of my teens...My order was mixed and not prepared correctly as it was described, the fries were extremely salty and the burger extremely greasy and smooshed my daughter had cooked onions on her burger that she described as being sour.. it looked nothing like what I saw online......I ordered 2 shakes and only one was on the receipt so I got up and re ordered our missing shake by the time I made it to the pickup area my food was at the table but the shake never made it to the table so I get the shake I reordered and show my receipt for the first shake the girl goes ooh ok so she goes to start and prepare it. To my disbelief she mixed the shake without even bothering to clean the machine that had stuff dripping all over it from the previous shake which was a whole different flavor.. both of them basically tasted the same I partially ended up drinking most of my daughter's shake because she has peanut allergies and who knows if someone could have ordered a reese's shake and the machine could have been contaminated it would have been a emergency then again who wants a shake that is mixed with something you did not order...the bathroom was not clean and it had paper all over the floor, no soap, no paper towels... the only good thing was the ambiance of the restaurant... I literally woke up sick to my stomach this morning overall I spent almost $60 dollars. I truly believe it was not worth it. My teens and I are big foodies this was a big disappointment to us.

I consistently patronized this establishment, visiting it weekly on multiple occasions. I consistently demonstrated utmost politeness. Cloud is an exceptional employee and should be considered for the managerial position due to his crucial role in maintaining the establishment’s success. During my most recent visit, I encountered an extremely inappropriate and unfounded accusation. Blake (or Mike) made a highly rude remark, threatening me that “I better not come back” without providing any explanation and hanging up in my face. Two days later, I finally contacted Lisa, who informed me of the accusation, only after asking what was even going on. She assured me that she would contact me after I had the opportunity to defend myself. However, she never did. A female employee made a highly disrespectful, false, defamatory, and outrageous accusation against me. Her actions constitute serious lying. I have seriously considered pursuing legal action. The establishment mishandled my grandmother’s order and initially offered a replacement. However, they subsequently recanted their offer after this employee made the accusation. Despite contacting corporate over five times, I have not received a single response or call back. This situation is deeply concerning, especially considering my consistent treatment of their employees, which has been marked by kindness and respect. Unfortunately, I have been subjected to threats and mistreatment. It makes me sick thinking about all the money I gave to these extremely rude people. Cloud, you’re such a sweet, hardworking, outgoing, genuine person. Keep up the great work dude. You deserve all the praise.

4100 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, La Horrible experience. It is 6:09pm and a lady claiming to be the manager was so very rude to me it was unbelievable. I just found this place and have eaten at this same location everyday this week. My visit on yesterday was a bit offputting because a young lady was at the food counter where food is prepared on her cell phone. She put her cell phone away shortly after I walked up to the counter and then reached for gloves and put them on. However, I don't see the use of putting on clean gloves with dirty hands. Cell phones are disgusting. When I realized that she was the one preparing my food I asked another worker to make it over and they did with no problem. Today, I walk in and the same lady is at the food counter with her cell phone. I ordered my food and requested quite nicely that that particular worker not touch my food. She heard my request and started to yell at me saying "it's my job to touch your food so I'll just refund you!" I said "No ma'am, I'll just have it remade until someone else makes it because I'm not leaving here without my food. She insisted that I didn't have a choice about who makes my food. I asked for the manager and she said I'm the manager so you'll have to just talk to me. I said well if you're a manager then I need to speak to corporate. She said take a card with the email on it, they are right on the counter. Keep in mind she is 2 people away from me yelling across the counter. Another employee begs her to wash her hands but at this point I don't want her touching my food washed hands or not. She disappeared in the back and didn't come out until I was leaving the counter. The cashier apologized. She also told me that the manager was not in at that time. This is why I'm confused about the rude lady saying she was the manager. Her defense was that she was only showing them a screenshot as if that makes a difference. I get it, when eating out, you never know what's really going on with your food but the minute I can see the uncleanliness, all bets are off. I'm not knowingly eating from your cell phone hands. I read on the site that Mooyah franchises are usually ran by families and that may or may not be the reason why the manager believes that it is o.k. for her to behave that way but companies don't get very far treating people this way. Please have someone from corporate contact...
