Drove 40 minutes to the all you can brunch buffet. My wife saw it advertised on face book and wanted to check it out. We took our 6 year old daughter. It was the strangest dining experince ever. Here is what we witnessed and experienced.
We arrived at 10AM.
We were seated, the waitress said she would be back to take our drink order. I took my daughter up to start her off, while my wife waited for me to get back/ ask for drinks.
No plates. We went from one end to the other and didn't see plates. I look back at our table to see if maybe we were supposed to bring plates up with us. No plates at our table. I had to ask another customer where they got the plates. He told me that he grabbed the last one. We went back to the table until we saw them bring out plates.
I took my daughter up again and there were two pancakes available. They were stuck to the bottom of the pan. I mangled the thing as I was trying to scrape it off the bottom. I just left it there and assumed they would refill it with fresh ones soon.
The scrambled eggs were nearly empty. I took the little bit that was left and put it on my daughter's plate.
Although my daughter doesn't like potatoes people behind us who are also waiting for plates, we're disgruntled about the lack of eggs and potatoes.
I let my wife go next and offered her luck. She came back with a nearly empty plate. She confirmed they still had a lot of empty trays of food.
A table next to us asked for Jelly with the toast. The waitress told her what they had was already out. The customer asked her if the toast was pre-toasted yesterday.
After my wife came back she asked if I had ordered drinks yet and I told her no that nobody has come back.
I went up knowing that pancakes and eggs were not in my future. It was very little bacon left when I went up with my daughter. It was now full. The problem was it was severely undercooked. It looked more like pastrami. The woman in front of me begin telling a worker who came out of the kitchen that the bacon wasn't cooked.
I brought my daughter up for a second time. Still no pancakes. She loaded up on toast and fruit. The strawberries were frozen, but the watermelon chunks seemed fresh.
When my daughter and I returned my wife had a water for her and my daughter. She must have forgotten there was three of us. I asked her for a water soon after when she walked by us. I asked my wife why she didn't get something other than water and she said she was really disappointed with the experience and would rather just get going.
During our visit they ran out of plates. Two more times were whole tables of people walked up and had to walk back to their table and wait for plates.
Nobody collected used plates. They were constantly running out of plates but nobody was collecting use plates from any of the tables. It was a table of six next to us and they literally had no room as they had plates stacked up which nobody was taking. This wasn't an issue for us as there was only three of us. We had plenty of room to put our plates.
Never saw our waitress again. I had to ask a different waitress for our check which she brought right out. I was disappointed to see that there was not a separate price for my daughter. Even more disappointing that her options were extremely limited, especially where they didn't bring out pancakes until 10:50 a.m.
I encourage my daughter to go up and check out the pancakes. We went up and the pancakes were now cut in four. I took two quarter pieces for my daughter and went to the end where they have the syrup. Wouldn't you know, they were out of syrup, and I also noticed the yogurt was not empty.
After some time I walked up to the front where the register is and I asked a different girl if she could process my credit card as I haven't seen our waitress in a while. She went out back and came back with my receipt. I just had to delete a few things as it says I was out of characters. I'll just end it by saying the place does have a...
Read moreFamily decided to head down from Londonderry NH and was the worst decision we could've made. Waitress not very attentive and really wasn't battling a surplus of tables so there really wasn't any excuse for her. For starters we ordered bang bang shrimp, and BBQ nachos those were solid a little heavy on sauce for the shrimp but otherwise excellent. We ordered 3 sodas and 1 Ice Tea and the waitress seemed put off by that from the start. We then order our food waited quite a while for our dinner and so say we were highly disappointed would be an understatement. My brother ordered the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich plain, my mother ordered the Braised short rib with risotto, and brothers girlfriend ordered the chicken salad sandwich. My brothers Mac and cheese was entirely filled with buffalo sauce and very minimal chicken it should be stated as buffalo Mac and cheese and you can add chicken, It wasn't edible. My chicken sandwich was atrocious, if you have ever had a frozen chicken sandwich patty those were better than this. The sandwich had freezer burn and was very thing and rock hard ate about half. My mother's braised short rib was very dry and had no flavor at all the risotto was good though.
My mom only had one drink without a refill same thing with my brother's girlfriend. waitress took both my glass and my brothers and never came back with refills.
Frustrating as well when you receive your entrees and the waitress doesn't come back to check in and see how everything tastes or if we need anything. I had ordered a side of mayo and buff that never came in.
Lastly she didn't ask if we needed anything else we tried to explain our distaste for the Mac and cheese and some of the other issues just nodded apologized and brought check we had our card out right away she just left the bill and didn't come back at all we waited for almost 10 mins we decided to pool cash together and leave just enough to cover the bill.
Maybe she will complain and the management might decide to manage their...
Read moreAt Miller's Tavern, a culinary delight, Our waitress, Madison, shone ever so bright. Super sweet and attentive, she was there, Yet an awkward introduction, a moment of flair.
Unintentionally demanding, I asked for her name, Coming across like a jerk, my actions to blame. But Madison, gracious and kind, didn't falter, She served us with a smile, never a halter.
Seafood Alfredo, my choice divine, A rating of 20/10, a portion so fine. As a proud food lover, I must confess, The size was enormous, bringing pure happiness.
One friend had pig fig pizza, a unique dish, On cauliflower crust, a flavorful wish. Notes were made, figs too thickly sliced, Prosciutto chopped, a texture to entice. But arugula and balsamic glaze, oh what a delight, Adding layers of flavor, a taste bud's flight.
Another friend opted for Caprese salad so fresh, A rating of 7/10, a mild success. Salmon on the side, an 8.5/10 delight, Though a touch of salt, added just right.
Bang bang fried shrimp, another friend's choice, An 8/10 satisfaction, a spicy rejoice. Thai peanut chicken wings, a 6.5/10 score, A bit lacking in flavor, a little more to explore.
Yet another friend, captivated by Korean bliss, A rating of 11/10, a dish not to miss. Insanely good, a flavor explosion on the tongue, Leaving taste buds dancing, a melody unsung.
Side notes we made, no salt and pepper in sight, Leaving a friend's dishes a bit bland, not quite right. Napkins were absent, a messy affair, But the comfy chairs, oh how we did stare. Wishing we sat on the couches, so inviting, Those seats looked awesome, oh, so exciting.
And a special mention, as our evening nears end, Our waitress, Madison, a Bio engineer, she'll transcend. Her last night at Miller's Tavern, bidding adieu, We wish her good luck, her dreams to pursue.
Miller's Tavern, an experience to treasure, With Madison's warmth and flavors of pleasure. Awkward moments aside, a culinary sensation, Leaving our taste buds filled...
