Two separate issues have led me to this review. First one is a while back, a couple friends and I ordered food through the app and picked up in driver through. When we got home we noticed we were missing a sandwich. We went back to the store within the same hour and we were told that the owner didn't allow them to give free things and they would have to ring it up and told me to get with corporate since it was processed through the app. After back and forth for a week, I gave up. Corporate said to call the store directly and talk to manager, when I called store either manager was busy or they would tell me to contact corporate. I literally stopped using wendys for a while after that. 2nd issue was Friday. I placed an order on the app and some how it went through twice. When I got there, the lady said to cancel in the app. When I tried to, it said order was picked up. Now I've called, emailed and messaged customer service with no response. Read moreI have been a customer for more than 10 years. I did a online order for carryout only to find out the lobby was close due to the registers being down, but drive-thru was still working. When I asked for a refund was told by the manager that he was unable to refund a mobile order and that i would have to call customer service(CS), after an hour of wait time with CS they told me they would call me back regarding my refund. After 2 days of the incident I received a call from the store itself telling me to come personally for a refund. Apparently that day they couldn't provide me with a refund right there and then , had me call CS only for them to make go to where everything began. The manager that called me gave me a completely different reason as to why the loby was close that day than the previous manager had told me at the location. Read moreWas heading to Logan to pick up a friend so time was important. I ordered via the Wendy's app about 10 min ahead of time and parked in the pickup spot when I arrived. I went in to pick up my order and all the doors were locked. I knocked on the glass and they said to use the drive thru which had about 8 cars in it. Not having the time, I left and contacted Wendy's customer service for a refund which still has not been processed 2 weeks later. 3 other cars also tried to pick up their orders when I was there and were also frustrated.
I'm hoping someone from the Wendy's team sees this. If you are going to disable counter pick-up, please notify us on the app. I don't plan on going back here which is a shame since it's across from Lowe's which I go to every week.
