Countryside Cafe — Restaurant in Mexia

Today was my second time here...I had the potato chip chicken mashed potatoes and corn and my husband had a burger n fries...it was so delicious...at first I wondered why a roll wasnt served with my meal but after diving in there was so much food there was no room for a roll....the dining area and our table was nice and clean...we had happy folks sitting around us and I could hear them all saying how good their food was as well...as we paid you can see into the kitchen area and it was nice and tidy as well...a huge plus for me...I cant wait to return and try more of the menu...esp the ever changing daily specials that are not on the set menu so there's always something new to try...look them up on facebook and treat...

This was my first time at Countryside Cafe. When we walked in, there were only 2 seperate tables of customers already eating. We sat down and the waitress came to get our drink orders. As we waited, another couple came in. The waitress brought our drinks and instead of her getting our food orders, she went to the table where the the couple had just sat. She took their food order and drink order. I thought that wasn't good customer service because why leave our table for another? Anyway, I ordered two scrambled eggs and bacon....

The 4 stars are for the food only!! Please be aware, there is only one bathroom for everybody, and it is not the most sanitized. Hygiene and sanitary is not their priority...and it really should! You are serving the best food..Hello?! Showing a little pride wouldn't hurt. The young waitresses are either stressed, are in a bad mood, or don't make enough money. They have been unfriendly and a kind of rude... Southern hospitality, HELLO?! There is always room for improvements... Wishing you...
