If you want to get the best jamaican patties in miami look, no further. I was introduced to this place by a good friend and proceeded to introduce my family and close friends to this hidden gem. The first patty I tried was a traditional beef patty I noticed immediately flaky and fresh they were. These patties are baked fresh around the clock, so I highly recommend requesting a fresh order of the patties. You will be awarded with an attack on your taste buds you never thought possible by these delicious carribean delicacies. My favorite Patty though, is the Jerk Chicken Patty. Unbelievably fresh patties! and of the highest quality…the flakiest of delicate crusts yet with a thin strip of moist , pliable, and chewy dough underneath…

I think this issue of pliability is key. So many patty places achieve flaky crusts but the inside is anemic. Taste Rite somehow manages to accomplish the thinnest and flakiest of crusts while ensuring the interior dough is magically pliable.

Almost reminding me of soup dumplings or saltenas, the dough sheaths a rich and savory broth inside that delivers a spicy kick. Steam emanates when you bite the patties open with your teeth.

They also have a stunning variety of fillings that surpass what I’m used to seeing in NYC (ie., Ackee and salt fish , grilled fish with jerk, callaloo, shrimp).

My husband and I started coming to this location when the one on 2nd AVE closed down. We had been going to the other location for at least 6 years so we knew most of the staff. Coming this location, we were so impressed. It is an extremely well oiled machine. The line might be long when you walk in, but it moves FAST. The staff is friendly and efficient. The patties are constantly coming out fresh and the spice is the perfect level of heat. The coco bread is so soft and I love all of the fresh juices The sugar bun is also top tier!
