Chicken Kitchen — Restaurant in Miami Lakes

I just clocked this after years of coming here. Last night about 6ish i stopped in to pick up some food on the way home. They prepared the food for my daughter and I using the driest pieces of chicken. Insanely evident from just a glance how bad the chicken was going to be. So, ok fine but I decided not to leave a tip because I knew I'd have to be spitting out hard pieces of dry chicken when I got home to eat. Tip on $26 for dry chicken? I didn't feel like it was justified. I always tip at places. But I've also been to CK in other areas where they check out the chicken before starting to prepare and if it's not good, they pick a better piece at the grill.... so no...I didn't want to tip on food I already knew I wasnt going to enjoy. Sure enough, can't home and ate it and was spitting out the dry, hard pieces. anyway I didn't tip... guess what.... today the total was adjusted to ADD $3 which i hadn't approved or selected. What a bunch of crooks!!! Why didn't I say anything inside while I was there? They (the 2 guys) were having a whole a$% conversation while preparing the food. It's awful to go to a place spend almost $30 for bad food then...

i’ve been coming to this chicken kitchen for years and lately, i’ve been making the drive to the pines location instead because i like the service of that one way more but today i decided to give this location another shot and that was my mistake :) when i walked in, there was only one person ahead of me and the two employees were finishing up with his order. instead of helping me, both employees walked away, one charged the customer and the other started looking at his phone. the one who was on his phone came to serve me and he didn’t even wash his hands. he was rude and dry and when he served rice onto my bowls, he was literally scraping the bottom of the pan instead of just grabbing fresh rice. and he walked away from my order TWICE to check his ringing phone while the other employee just stood there. i was annoyed because my order took way longer to prepare than it should have, and then i asked for sauce at check out and i didn’t receive any in my bag.

moral of the story, avoid this location at all costs. other reviews say that the employees seem annoyed to have to deal with you, and it’s true. i’ve felt that way with...

I have been eating at this chicken kitchen for many years and I can’t believe I have never reviewed them before .. all the employees are great and always willing to help .. I have a medical condition called erosive gastritis and I cannot eat alot of salt or seasoning and @ this location they always help me. Our family loves Chicken Kitchen .. it’s very healthy .. I recently was unfaithful to this location and went to another one closer to my house since I was in a hurry and it didn’t go well at the 186 street one .. the lady there was rude and didn’t want to help me with my chicken and taking off a little of the fat and seasoning to my half of the chicken .. she said she could not do it and told me to buy a full chicken breast and do it myself .. so please if you want chicken kitchen go to the miami lakes one .. I made the mistake to go to another one once and never again .. miami lakes never disappoints ! 🙏 grateful they help me … kindness is important in any customer service situation ..sadly the 186...
