Santa Diabla — Restaurant in Miami Lakes

We came here for the “GRINCH BAR THEME “ since it was all over the news and IG … and we even booked a reservation with deposit . First of all it’s inside Chela’s restaurant.. so it was hard to find . We waiting for our table to be ready and the place it’s super small maybe like 10 people for there! Barely any decorations of the grinch but an outdoor inflatable & some stickers in the wall . The staff is wasn’t even with Christmas attire as expected or dress up as the grinch which it was the reason why we went there . The ottomans “chairs” were super uncomfortable and even though it was just us two .. we were almost sitting outside of their “door” curtain that’s separate the bar from restaurant, when ask for something more comfortable they said that’s all they had. Then we get the menu .. and from the whole menu only two pages were “grinch” theme . The drinks were horrible, super bad combination of flavors; even got a burnt marshmallow. The staff was great which it’s not their fault of a poorly executed speakeasy theme bar. Needless to say don’t spend your time and money coming here . Not what it...

Love the vibe...very cool ambiance. Decor is fun and love the dim lighting. The music was very fitting, just a little too loud for my taste, had to yell a little...not very romantic vibe...but definitely very club vibe. The little stools at the tables are too low so they were uncomfortable, but not terrible. Food was tapas style and we liked the croquettas de Jamon, very creamy. The batatas bravas we ok, lacking flavor...a little salt would have made it fantastic. The tabla was really good, loved the variety on there for the price. Went with a group of 6 during their Christmas grinch theme and had an amazing experience. The music was entertaining and funny, had a spin on classical holiday songs. The staff were beyond fantastic, Solomon was helpful with recommendations and very on top of our allergies. The bartender made great drinks that were instagram worthy. And the chef came out to recommend her personal cheesecake, which we loved!! They even wrote our name on one of the holiday board to make us feel special. All in all, it was a great night out. The music and dj at the regular restaurant was amazing as well, so we stayed a bit longer outside after leaving...
