I’ve been going to this subway for years. This is my neighborhood subway. I have never felt such hostility till this man started working there. Getting off my night shift , I came to get some breakfast. I literally saw him walk in to start his shift. Another one was standing there ignoring me and then the one that I’m talking about came out and put some gloves on to take my order… didn’t say hi or good morning so I said good morning to him and how he was. Then! I explained to him my order. He got upset because he didn’t like the way I wanted MY sub so he literally tossed my sub in the microwave… like what did I do this early in the morning for him to be this upset with me. I told him there’s no need to be so upset or have such attitude with me or even curse in my direction because you didn’t like my order. I was the only customer in the store…. Like why? When it comes to subway, it's hard to go wrong as an employee. They're given procedures that are pretty much conducted almost exactly the same each time. After you've grown accustomed to the measurements, and portions, you really just have to pay attention to the customer.
That being said, I chose to dock two stars due to the simple fact that the employees were not paying full attention to me and other customers. I understand that employees joke around on the job, but for me to say an ingredient twice, only to have the employee put a handful of the wrong ingredient on my sandwich because she was talking it up with her friend is ridiculous. Only having wheat bread is fine, but you don’t have to have an attitude. It is difficult to hear people underneath wearing a mask, therefore, you could have kindly repeated yourself- and I would have had no issue whatsoever.
I will happily order wheat bread, but not with the disgustingly rude service.
When we asked for her name, she didn’t even respond vocally, and instead pointed at her name tag which was placed on her hat, and not even facing the correct way to be readable.
We told her that “her name tag is not even visible, and instead of pointing at her name tag- she should just TELL us her name,”
she fixed her hat, didn’t even say a word- and just pointed at her name tag again.
Unbelievable.
Fix the bad attitudes and please better train...
