Starbucks — Restaurant in Miami Shores

I went there in the morning to get my usual for me, my sister and friend. The lady that morning was very friendly and helpful. I emptied my purse looking for my card and when I left the place I realized later that day my rose gold bracelet was missing from said purse. I called the place asking if anyone found it, the girl who answered said she would have to ask her manager because she didn't have access to the lost and found box and it can only be open during the day. I pass by later that night to show her manager the matching rose gold necklace so they can see how it looks like. The lady didn't even bother looking at the necklace, she just kept saying come back tomorrow when the lost and found box can be open. I called the next couple of days multiple times at work and the call refuse to be picked up. Which is suspicious since they used to pick up all the time before. That manager is unhelpful and unsympathetic. That bracelet was a favorite piece of jewelry since it was a gift from my big sister years ago that came with a matching necklace. She bought it for me at a time I was going through an emotionally hard situation. It meant so much to me that I got both my engagement ring and wedding band in matching rose gold color to remind me of the two most important adults in my life. I just wanted to get it back instead of buying a new one to match it. But the place was completely unhelpful and cold hearted. I doubt they even bother looking and if they did find it they sure didn't care enough to give...

I’ve never experienced being pressured to place an order within 10 minutes of arriving at a Starbucks, until today. As a graduate student, I visit this location at least three times a week and always make a purchase. Sometimes I don’t order immediately because I’m not hungry or thirsty yet, but I always end up buying something, either because I’m there long enough to want something or simply because I understand that this is a business, not a public space.

What really surprised me was being approached and told that I had to order something. That has never happened to me at any other Starbucks. At other locations, staff sometimes may even offer free samples to introduce new menu items, which I always appreciate and usually end up buying. The difference in attitude and service is very noticeable.

On another occasion at this same location, I asked for a glass of water while waiting for a mobile order I had already placed. The barista told me I had to be a paying customer to get anything. She didn’t notice that I was literally holding the bag of food I had just picked up. I held it up and asked, “Do you mean like this?” She then responded with a quick, “Oh, sorry,” but the interaction still felt dismissive.

After these repeated experiences, I honestly don’t feel comfortable coming back to this location, even though it’s the most convenient one for me. I hope this feedback helps bring some awareness and leads to better service...

Greeting fellow coffee lovers, I have been to this establishment many times before. The air conditioning is always too high so you feel like you’re freezing to death. IT’S MIAMI YOU SHOULDN’T FEEL COLD. However, it always smells like caca or trash outside and that is really DISGUSTING. But it’s ok because you walk in to the Starbucks and it smells like cafe con leche. The art is BEAUTIFUL and IMAGINATIVE. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess it sound like a good idea to make the drinks in front of you but when they put that syrup in the tea in makes me want to VOMIT. The service is great but they always take 5 HOURS make your drink and they kicked me out when I was working on my essay. I got a D because of you and didn’t pass my class. Thanks a lot.The coffee is freaking overpriced LIKE WHY DO YOU NEED ME TO PAY 5 DOLLARS FOR TEA. Maybe you should plant money trees in front of the store so people can actually afford your coffee. There is never a table open PLEASE WHY MAKE ME LEAVE NOT THEM. Then I have to eat in my car and get it all dirty so my mom gets mad and I get the CHANCLETA. WHY.
