Updated: My dining experience at Ferraro's Kitchen Restaurant and Wine Bar in Miami, FL, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and immediately impressed by the elegant yet cozy ambiance. The décor is a perfect blend of modern sophistication and inviting warmth, making it an ideal setting for any occasion.
The menu at Ferraro's Kitchen is a culinary masterpiece, featuring an exquisite selection of Italian and Mediterranean dishes. I began my meal with the burrata, which was incredibly fresh and creamy, paired perfectly with heirloom tomatoes and a drizzle of high-quality olive oil. For the main course, I chose the risotto ai funghi, which was creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. The rice was cooked to perfection, and the mushrooms added a delightful earthiness to the dish.
The wine bar is another highlight of Ferraro's Kitchen. Their extensive wine list offers something for every palate, with a variety of selections from both Italy and other renowned wine regions. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect wine to complement our meal.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and displayed a genuine passion for the food and wine they served. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
To finish, I indulged in the panna cotta, which was silky smooth and beautifully presented with a berry compote. It was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic dining experience.
Overall, Ferraro's Kitchen Restaurant and Wine Bar exceeded all my expectations. The combination of outstanding food, excellent wine, and top-notch service makes it a standout in Miami’s dining scene. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu! We hosted 54 of these wine and food connoisseurs in January at Igor Ferraro's place. A couple of us had worked for two months with Igor on food and wine pairings. All of the elements of the meal needed to be perfect for this group. We were pulling expensive wines from our cellar and the pressure was on to kick off the decade for this group with something truly spectacular.
Igor and his team did not disappoint!
The Octopus Adriatica was sensational. I had tasted through a number of items on the menu a couple of months before as we planned things with Chef. Hands down, the best octopus in this city. To execute that well for 54 people is a feat unto itself. The guests raved about it.
The coup de grace was, however, the lasagnetta. Epic doesn't even begin to describe it. It's weeks later and people from the group still mention it. Unbelievably well executed with rich, tantalizing flavors that paired exquisitely with a 2007 Ornellaia, combining the Italian ham and truffle oil with a brilliantly prepared Parmesan cream.
You might have stopped there, but risotto with wild mushroom followed. Al dente and savory, with the essence - the wild mushroom - adding to the texture and flavor.
But that's not all - a Barolo marinated braised short rib that melted in your mouth was also exceptional (if you had any room left for it after all of the incredible prior dishes).
The service was terrific. The staff was on it! (Under the watchful eye of both Chef and his wife, Christiana).
I highly recommend this restaurant if you are a foodie. And if you like wine, I have tremendous admiration for Chef's extensive wine list with some of the lowest markups I have seen at a restaurant...
Read moreGood food. That's about all I can say. Never have a I taken my wife somewhere for Valentine's Day and left with her crying in my arms because of a restaurant owner. After a lovely evening of top dollar bisteca Toscana, a bottle of Som recommended wine, and other exceptional eats; the owner decides to remind us of the 2 hour table limit as it is a full restaurant while I'm waiting for the dessert to arrive. Not a problem normally only that her suggestions were eat your dessert on the patio or get out. Upon confronting the owner about why a similar table of two who had arrived before us was able to eat their dessert in peace, she responded with "I don't know about them, I was clear on the phone about the 2 hour time limit". It wasn't until I had arrived home having consoled my wife for the previous 15 minutes in the car that I realized we still had 15 min left! They had kicked us out AN HOUR AND A HALF into our dinner. The only discernible difference between the couple allowed to enjoy their dessert and us was the fact that my wife is black. Based off what they ordered (I was sitting behind them looking to see what might look good) and what I ordered, I'm pretty sure I spent double the amount they did. Word of advice to would be diners, DON"T BE BLACK and don't take your time. They clearly don't care for any one's dining experience. Only the shuffling of customers...
