Horrible experience!! My first time and they STOLE from me. THEY CHARGED MY CARD MORE AFTER I PAID WITHOUT MY PERMISSION & KNOWLEDGE!
Here is my story:
I went up to the cashier to order my food. First, the cashier said there is no chicken. While trying to change my order she leaves and comes back to say there is chicken now. So, I order it and pay with my debit card. It has a section to tip and my husband crosses the tip section. BIG MISTAKE, write 'no tip' instead. Anywho, the cashier looked disappointed. Then we get our receipt and we have to wait for our order. We left happy but then the following day I see my bank account with a different amount. I check my receipt and behold it was less. So, I called them to speak with a manager but the employee who answered advised there is no manager was on duty. The person who answered the phone said, 'You can talk to her supervisor.' When the supervised Nancy came to the line she did not say I am sorry or seemed concerned with my issue but denied my claim and defended the employees. I explained to her that my receipt has a different amount than what my bank had. She said, 'What do I want my money back?' I agreed with that statement but she said I had to wait until management comes on Monday. When Monday comes the manager was hesitant to give me his name. When I finally got his name he was rude and also defended his employees and said the reason the amount changed was because of the difference in the menu. The price changes after 5 pm. The afternoon price is $4 and change and the evening price is $5.25, but I arrived before 5 pm. So, they stole from me twice! I didn't fight for the extra dinner charge because obviously, they need it more. So, they lied to steal the tip money because I arrived at 1:05 pm. I let Javier the manager know that I understand about the menu change but they have no right to change the price after I paid without my knowledge and I did pay for the evening price. He didn't like what I said and asked who I spoke to and then gave her the phone. RUDE!!! Then, when Nancy came on the phone, she asked again if I want back my money. Of course, I do, wouldn't you? Even though it was $4 and change it doesn't matter it's the principal & bad customer service. If they would have acknowledged the error and apologized I would have let them keep the money because I waste more in gas and my time going over to get $4 and change back. Anyway, when I went over Nancy and Javier were investigating hard section by section their receipting and my bank account. Then Nancy told Javier I guess we have to give her the money. Javier looked mad and took money out of his wallet. That looks fishy! We left without an apology but they still protected their employees. So, my advice is to check your bank account before you throw away your receipt in this establishment. I am sorry but do you tip the cashier in Pollo Tropical? This restaurant has Pollo Tropical vibes, except their food is fresher. I never heard of tipping a cashier that only takes your order, payment, and nothing else. Yes, she went back to see if they have chicken, but that's her job. People in Pollo Tropical do that too. They don't pack the food or make it. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN & I have been spreading the word around to family and friends, so be careful if you go there or spread the word. Make sure to compare your bank/credit card statement with...
Read moreI know selling rice and beans as sides is more profitable than fries and salad ( peruvian style), or other sides. But, if you are going to accomodate the cubans, have the decency to take out the "peruvian" dishes from the menu and the "peruvian" from the name since I know is a franchise. The service is awful as well. I'm peruvian and the way you manage this location is shameful for us, peruvians. I suggest you call it caribbean restaurant instead, and sell their dishes besides the rice and beans. Also, change the rostisserie chicken recipe. RESPONSE TO REPLY: I have nothing against your bussines growth. And, as I stated I know your pockets are full of money. But, stop using "peruvian" in your name! You are mostly selling rice and beans, and most of the peruvian dishes are prepared carelessly, we pride of our food quality in Peru. Of course you are expanding! And you are doing so at peruvian quality expense! We rarely eat black beans and rice, for starts. 🫥 My claim is that I'm unwelcome in this location for indicating my choice of sides ( fries and salad). Plus, you are saving tons hiring uprofessional staff. I worked in hospitality for 25 years, and your FOH operation is below expectations. A tip: send the orders straight to the kitchen, with copy to the "expos"; and maintain the cashier in that position, that's the basics to operate fluently in a busy place.......You're welcome! *FHO= Front...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Placed a delivery order once purchased Immediately I noticed order was missing a side of fries yuca...Called La granja to inform of the error and the lady that took my order said they at the moment didn’t have fried yuca and all they could do was discount it from my next order which I agreed to...15 minutes later the manager called stating in a rude way that I was lying and that the order was placed in my bag and to double check. I informed him that the order was not missing and if he wanted for me to take a picture of our order and he said that the order was placed and he will not be discounting it from my next order and hung up on me. Worst manager ever while I waited to speak to someone I overheard the exact man fighting with a lady in regards to her order as well. Who ever that man is should be fired and dismissed from la Granja simply for not having good...
