Albano's Villa — Restaurant in Michigan City

I wanted to give this no stars but couldn't. However, this restaurant was the worst experience I've ever had. We had to flag down our waitress after fifteen minutes to order our food, to which she replied "oh I thought I'd already taken it." We proceeded to order and waited an hour until she came out and had just told us our pizzas were just put in. Because "there's so many people here" when we were there before everyone else. We asked to talk to a manager, and she just stared blankly at us and the rushed back to the kitchen. All of the workers convened out of sight, and then she came back and said, "My manager is making sure the pizzas are being put in and we'll give you 10% off." We were APPALLED. We demanded AGAIN to talk to a manager, but by that point had realized that there was no manager present. We left and will not be returning ever again. 2 stars for food two reasons pizza is about as hard as cardboard got a Taco pizza and it tastes horrible pretty sure some of the toppings were purposely not put on. I've had better service for first time being there not realizing exactly how carry out and find in worked me and my family never been so we got confused sign said seat yourself but not dose it state anywhere that if you order pizza you can't sit in dinning area.. we didn't know so forgive us for being new! Worker whoever she was spoke in a monotone like she didn't need to get snippy with my spouse he could tell she was being snarky. We have been eating Albano’s food for over fifty years. We don’t consume much pizza anymore but wanted a special treat for our anniversary. We ordered a pizza and tacos for carry out. When I got to the counter I could see the kitchen staff making my tacos with no food gloves and another employee walking around with no mask or gloves. I mentioned it to the cashier, but she seemed uninterested in my concerns. When we got home we found the tacos small, cold with congealed grease and the pizza doughy and undercooked. Very disappointing! It was always our special go to place, but we need to find something different as it appears management has been absent some time.
