Recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner for 24 people planned here for over a year and was deeply disappointed with the result after many conversations with the coordinators Amber and Stella. First of all, they requested I pay them in full and have a set headcount 1 year in advance which is not the norm for either. I figured they must be very organized or very in need of money. I soon found out they were not organized. A month before my event Amber is sending me an invoice for $900. When I replied with receipts that I had paid in full she played it off as an oops we have a new system you’re right. I then spent two more weeks talking to Amber and Stella about the same questions and plan for the event which seemed repetitive but again, I figured they were checking and double checking. They were not. When we arrived to the event, the dinner tables were not set up as planned. Our specialized menus that welcomed our guests with our names, dates, and “hosted by,” were no where to be found. And the timeline for the appetizers, salads, and entrees was also not even close to what was discussed. My guests had to rearrange their own tables to accommodate everyone. We had waiters come ask us if we were ready to order though we didn’t have a menu. When I asked where our menu was they had no clue what we were talking about because Amber and Stella hadn’t sent them the pdf of our designed menu. So, the manager there, Stephanie printed up this horrendous, kindergarten looking menu that stated “welcome Dayna” and listed the food options below. Nothing regarding my fiancé or date or who is hosting. Guests commented they felt like they were attending my birthday party! The only saving grace from this place was the head chef Rigoberto and waitress Lynnea that were both very kind and apologetic. They were both attentive and trying to fix the mistakes that trickled down from Amber and Stella. It’s been one week and I have not heard from neither Amber nor Stella regarding a follow up or apology even though I was told by the staff onsite that “they are very aware of what happened today.” I do not recommend planning an event here. They are unorganized and unprofessional. If my party of 24 was difficult for them to organize I would be highly concerned for a large event being under Amber or...

Zorn Brew Works, a historic neighborhood brewery and tavern situated in Michigan City, offers more than just a pint—it's a delightful blend of history, rustic charm, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The brewery's industrial past is reflected in its cozy, rustic industrial decor, making it a unique place to unwind and enjoy a locally crafted beverage.

When weather permits, Zorn's outdoor space is a well-equipped haven for those who prefer the open air, complete with ample seating, an outdoor bar, and even an amphitheater and cornhole boars aplenty. The space regularly hosts open mic nights and musical acts, offering an engaging mix of local talent and enjoyable entertainment.

The brewery's selection of house-brewed beers and seltzers caters to a wide variety of tastes. From traditional brews to more adventurous flavors, there's something for every beer enthusiast. They also have non-Zorn guest brewer options on a rotating basis. If you find a brew that particularly tickles your taste buds, they offer growler fills so you can take home your new favorite drink.

My most recent visit to Zorn was for a carryout order, which I placed through their user-friendly website. I ordered a BBQ pulled pork and pineapple pizza, aptly named the 'Maui,' and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service and the quality of the pizza. The unique combination of ingredients and the flavorful BBQ sauce made it a standout choice, and can be found on their entire range of pizza selections. The high quality and reasonable price point are a testament to the value that Zorn offers.

However, do note that the indoor space can get rather loud and crowded, particularly if there's an indoor event. It's a minor inconvenience, considering the overall charm and service provided.

In conclusion, Zorn Brew Works offers a delightful experience of history, craft beers, and unique food options. It's a place where you can savor a pint of locally brewed beer, enjoy a delicious pizza or other typical tavern fare, and soak in some Michigan City history. If you're in the area and in the mood for great beer and good times, you can't go wrong with...

This place was in an odd spot, so I had a feeling that it was going to be a gem. My feeling was correct.

My significant other and I stepped inside. The sign at the front stated Welcome To Zorn! Please Seat Yourself. That was nice. The menus were on the table, so that was convenient. I was given complimentary water right after we sat down. It was refreshing.

The Tap Room List had the Current Craft Selection on Tap @ Zorn’s Tap Room. I had my eyes on the 2. Zorn Brew Works Golden Grain. This was a Cream Ale. I was offered a taster, which was free, so that was awesome. I did enjoy it. I ordered a pint of it and it was tasty from start to finish. After that one, I had interest in the 11. Zorn Brew Works Excelsior. This was a Pumpkin w/Cinnamon Beer. I was offered a taster, which was also free. I enjoyed the zing it had. I ordered a pint of it after and it was great to sip on for the remainder of my visit.

I checked out the Food menu and there certainly was a variety of items. Zorn Brew Works Housemade Pizza stated Our Grandma style pizzas start with fresh garlic and extra virgin olive oil. From this section, we got the Sassy Gma and chose the 10” - $21. It was Mozz blend, fontina, chili flakes, ground tomato sauce, cup n char pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, parmesan, basil. From the Handhelds/Platters section, we got the Fish + Chips for $18. It was Zorn craft beer battered fish filets, served with Fries.

The Sassy Gma came out looking beautiful. It was hard to look at for too long without tearing it apart. It was filled with flavor. Every bite was enjoyable. The Fish + Chips looked fresh. Each crispy bite was wonderful. The Fries were fantastic. It was a tasty dish.

The service was fast and friendly. I didn’t have any issues at all.

Overall, I had an excellent experience here. I was shocked by how smooth everything went. I would love to go back someday.
