I've never rated a restaurant before, but I just had to leave a review for the Big A since it was rated a 3.9 and I had to check the negative reviews to see if anyone else had a bad experience. This was by far the worst food/restaurant I've ever had or been to. The whole experience was terrible. From the moment you walk to the entrance, you are greeted by a waitress filling the front vestibule with smoke. When you enter the door, you immediately sense a wet, musty aroma. This was just the beginning of a restaurant nightmare. We then waited at least 10 mins for our waiter to take our drink orders. We got an overpriced pre-made pitcher of sangria, 4 cloudy waters and a coke that I had to ask for two times. At this point we should've ran for our lives (my stomach is turning as I'm narrating this to my gf since I'm driving) but the waiter really sold us on his pretentious knowledge on the steak selections and honest downplay of the size of the "meaty award winning wings," which turned out to be a freezer burned piece of non consumable meat along with chewy, soft, mushy pre-cooked wings (most likely picked up from the local supermarket.) We were the first to notice something was very off about the food and something was said when we both were making unsatisfied faces to each other as we were chewing our food. A friend of mine, ordered the thai wings which tasted like a mix of soy sauce and dish detergent. Now, the 6 people at the table were all agreeing that their food was not good. We actually took turns sampling from each others plates, laughing about how disgusting the taste was. The alfredo was agreed to taste like powdered parmesan, sprinkled on top of cardboard. Even the simple hamburger was dry and bland. He stated that any fastfood burger was better than this. Its such a bad feeling being hungry from hiking for hours and not being able to consume what's left on your plate, in front of you. Noone ate more than half of what they order and even said we wished we had dogs to throw the food under the table. At the end, we wanted to split the bill into 3 in which the waiter messed up twice (an 18 percent tip was automatically applied to the bill.) The worst restaurant in price and food quality. Do not come here. I hope none of us have food poisoning...seriously. Stay far away. Ps. Will never eat at an establishment with green...
Read moreWe came in to eat a few months ago and loved it. Great service and food. So we decided to come again with family. Wish we didn’t go. The food was delicious but our server made the experience horrible. Let’s start by saying she put a bread basket on our table and a spider crawled out of it and tan across our table and she didn’t even get us a new one. Second. She had a very strong Spanish accent and could barely understand what we were saying. She told me the bar only makes 4 different drinks and I wasn’t able to get something I ordered which was just something standard. She had no idea what she was doing. For that price of food you really need to have good quality service. Regular drinks we had to tel her 5 different times and she still came with the wrong drink order. When my meal came I asked for red pepper. She told me the kitchen didn’t have red pepper for my meal. I proceeded to tell her I can’t eat my pasta without red pepper every restaurant has red pepper. Suddenly she appeared with red pepper. We got desert and every dish from our dinner remained on the table we couldn’t even eat desert without cramping to move throughout the table with the kids. She never checked on us and only had one other table to tend to so I chalked it up as she just was either new and not properly trained or just didn’t care. I have young kids that were tired and we waited for out check for 20 mins with no checking in on we couldn’t even ask for a check. So when we finally got discouraged we gave her tip to her and walked to the host to say we need our check. When we paid with our card we got the receipt and we find out gratuity was included which we had no idea. So for this horrible service she got a 60 percent tip and didn’t even think to tell us tip is included just took the money. I asked them to refund us the tip back to the card since I gave her cash and they said they can’t do that (I work in a restaurant yes you can) and asked me did I want them to go get the cash back from her which I obviously wouldn’t do. I will never be back. And I know people are short staffed right now and I never ever write reviews but this was bad!!!! She only had one table!!!!! Should be ashamed. I really loved this place they just hire anybody...
Read moreMy wife and 2 five year old grand children traveled to,the Poconos last week. We saw the reviews of this establishment and thought let’s give it a try. As we entered the establishment we were greeted by a server who asked me if I would like to sit by the main entrance of the dining room or would we like to sit in a side dining room by ourselves. I looked at her with a query look and asked her why would we want to sit in a dining room by ourselves. I didn’t think much about and agreed to sit in the booth right by the door. The room was pretty crowded . A older gentleman server came by the table and said that he was sending one of the female servers over to take our order. He gave us menus and that’s when things went south. People who just arrived minutes before us sat right behind us. They immediately were set up with bread water and placed their order. At the same time another two people entered and we’re immediately served bread and water and their order was taken. About 10 minutes later this room that was supposed to be so crowded 4 people we seated in another area of this main room. After waiting a total of 20 minutes my family and I decided to leave. The older server looked at us said nothing as we left. Now In case you haven’t guess it by this point we are a African American family and clearly we did not feel welcome .I would seriously caution any person of color to patronize this restaraunt. Didn’t get the chance to try the food but this...
