I was staying over at the Pocono Palace and on my way to Perkins for breakfast, when the cab driver recommended Muller's. Thank goodness I listened! Compared to NY prices, they're prices are astounding. From Sun-Thurs you can order a breakfast consisting of 2 eggs any style, 3 pancakes, toast, homefries, with sausage or bacon-- all for $3.99. Fantastic right? Not only that but they serve large portions.
I ordered the $3.99 breakfast with a coffee. All was very tasty and you can't beat the price. My husband ordered steak and eggs. The steak was soft and lacking a bit of flavor but still good. Not great, add salt and pepper and it was good.
Since the prices were amazing we decided to call a cab and pop in for dinner. I wasn't too sure what to order so while I decided, I asked for a two cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream (served in a festive Irish mug) to warm both myself and hubby up. The hot chocolate was perfect! It wasn't milky or watery. It was literally the perfect amount of chocolate and it did the job.
Currently at Muller's, they're having a 2 for $20 special. If you're in the area, go for it! Take my advice, its absolutely worth it. Anyway, my hubby ordered the chicken cutlet Parmesan which comes with a choice of soup, he chose chicken noodle. I kept it simple and ordered a cheeseburger and fries. His soup got to the table first. Me being the food lover that I am, I had to sample it... And the results.. GET THE SOUP! They put their heart into that little bowl of chicken noodle soup! It was too yummy to not order my own! Perfectly paired with the crackers. I was really expecting bland soup, but that soup did right by me instead.
A few minutes later, our dinner came out. My burger was pretty big, it was alright nothing to rave about. The fries were good, nice and crunchy. They had a seasoned fry texture. Now my hubby chicken cutlet... Was literally THE BIGGEST and THE BEST chicken cutlet of our lives! And we eat a lot of Italian food. For an American Diner, they gave the Italians a rub for their money with the spaghetti and chicken parm. You would have to see and taste it to believe it. It was juicy, succulent, melted in your mouth type of chicken. It was dinosaur sized! I take my hat off to them.. They did their thing! They've won me.
One thing about this restaurant that I thought was pretty funny, on every menu it says "No sharing! If you share you have to pay $2-$3" pretty obnoxious but hilarious... Guess what? We shared anyway and played nothing. Yay us. On a more serious note, this...
Read moreFirst-time visitor to this diner in the East Stroudsburg area of PA. I must say the only reason why I don't give this place a 5 star rating is because the host you encounter is not the friendliest to newcomers. Our waitress was to die for, I must say. She was attentive, polite, and very welcoming. As a first-time visitor, I observe everything. My wife and I were seated in the back room, even though there were plenty of 2 seater booths available in the first dining area. The establishment was clean, and there was plenty of parking provided on the premises. The entrance does have wheelchair accessibility. ♿️ There is plenty of seating. So my wife had the cheesecakes Omelet,🍳 and I had the chicken 🐔 and waffles 🧇 with a side of scrambled eggs with cheese 🧀 🥚. All of the food ordered was delicious. The portions are decent, and pricing is perfect. They do charge a $3 fee for sharing omelets with your spouse or children(unnecessary, in my opinion). The coffee ☕️ was great with cream and sugar. Not to great if you like black coffee ☕️. This place does get packed and busy quickly on weekend mornings. So the earlier you get there, the better. Thank you for the great food. I will be back for a great bite. They do have handicap parking. They do provide high chairs for children. Big parties welcome. There are plenty of options if you have food allergies or have a certain diet to follow. Make sure to ask plenty of questions and inform your server of any allergies you may have. The food here is a must try. Cooks are doing great in that kitchen.
Thank you all again.
Have your host welcome all guests as she does her regulars. Horrible first impression and not a great experience...
Read moreGood lord, where shall I begin 😂. As a NY’er, the standards here was not what I was expecting based on previous reviews. I was really hoping that this place that came so highly recommended was going to be a good pick. Lets start with upon entering. It’s such an awkward/odd layout when you enter. Bar to your right and diner to the left (behind swinging doors) and the bathrooms down the hall in front of you. We were greeted by a hostess that wasn’t really that warm and fuzzy to talk to & we waited longer than expected. We had to wait in the hallway outside the diner to not congest the checkout area at the front of the diner, odd. I will agree with other reviewers, this establishment highly needs a make over! The bathrooms are so small and the floors are uneven. The decor is so old and a fresh coat of paint could be used on these tired looking walls. Take pride in your diner. The food was tasty but far from being labeled as big portions. When ordering, I asked the waitress if they could cut my 4 yr old 2 slices of French toast into strips and we were told bc it’s a holiday weekend and the kitchen being busy, they can’t. Umm, that was the first to ever be told that 😒. The coffee was extremely weak and the straws given for our drinks were extremely crushed. Lets add that I discovered a moldy orange peel under my kids chair. Makes you wonder how often do they clean these floors.🤢 All in all, this place is just average and I feel you get better service and...
