Mandy's Subs — Restaurant in Middle Township

I've had Mandy's crab bisque a few times and I'm definitely a fan. I am not giving away secrets, but I'm pretty confident there's some good healthy stuff snuck in there which is a fresh take on the competition. Totally worth the hype.

I asked my husband to grab me a cup for lunch today. He knew I was working late so he also got me a cup of the soup of the day which was chicken and rice. I didnt tell him, but initially I was actually a little disappointed. I could count on one hand the number of times I have eaten chicken soup since my Great Gram passed fourteen years ago. Hers was (and still is) the best, and nobody's ever come close. Can i tell you, Mandy's is a VERY close second, for sure.

I dunno if the lady behind the counter is Mandy, but whoever she is, she has a bit of that goodness my Gram had, too. She's often busy, always kind and just has this wholesome granola sweetness about her, my husband agreed. I just read a few reviews that said otherwise, but they were probably from cranky people imposing their grumbliness where it didn't belong.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I'll come back. I hope the chicken and rice will be on special...

Italian sub was just ok. Ingredient quality was good but everything else pretty much disappointed.

Called an order in for 4 subs and was told 15-20 minutes. When I arrived 30 mins later the order hadn't been started. 50 minutes after ordering, I got my subs w not even a mention of the wait or a thanks for your patience from the staff.

The sub itself is lopsided, w all the meat and cheese on one side and the LTO/etc wedged into the other side. Given how sense and chewy the bread was, this resulted in everything not meat and cheese being pushed further out and back w each bite. If you've had a legit Italian sub from Philly area, you know that the build is crucial to the bite.

The bread was just confusing. I don't know how you can mess that part up, but they did.

Overall, there's better subs in the area, even at these relatively affordable ($8 Italian) prices.

Placed my order over the phone. Told 35 minutes. Arrived about 20 minutes later. Window opened, gave my name, told it wasn't ready. No problem! I expected to wait. Yet when I began to ask to add chips to order to was told to wait and the window closed on me. Little rude but ok. While I waited, another customer approached the window for thier pick up. When the employee came back to answer, she begins to tell the next customer, she needs to wait because she needed to " take care of Fran first because he is very excited and impatient". Keep in mind, I said my name and "can I have...." when I was abruptly cut off. So I'm the one who is impatient? I literally said 4 words! I have had this food many times and while I admit the food is good, part of the reason for repeat business is the experience. I will find a new location.
