In the midst of my shattered dreams and inconsolable heartache, I found myself seeking solace within the walls of a familiar restaurant: the MOOYAH in Middleburg Heights. It was there, late at night, that I stumbled upon the Cookie Dough Milkshake—a fleeting refuge for my weary soul. As a deeply depressed man who experienced the devastating blow of being abandoned by my fiancé on what should have been our wedding day, this milkshake became a bittersweet oasis that deserves every bit of a five-star review.
With each sip of this milkshake, I was transported back to the precious memories we had shared—the laughter, the tenderness, and the unbridled joy that once filled our lives. The velvety texture of the milkshake caressed my lips, momentarily soothing the ache in my heart. It was a reminder of the sweet moments we had cherished, even as the pain of her departure lingered heavily within me.
The cookie dough within the milkshake was a subtle nod to the remnants of a love that had dissipated. Each bite carried the taste of our shared experiences, evoking a bitter yet comforting embrace. The rich flavors of buttery cookie dough and hints of chocolate chips intertwined, awakening my senses and stirring up a complex blend of emotions. It was a poignant reminder of what once was and what had been lost.
The act of visiting this restaurant, a place where we had spent countless happy hours together, held a profound significance. The familiar ambiance, the faint echoes of laughter, and the memories etched into every corner formed a poignant backdrop for my introspection. It was in this melancholic atmosphere that I found solace, surrounded by the ghosts of our past, searching for meaning amidst the wreckage of our shattered dreams.
The portion size of the Cookie Dough Milkshake was just right, offering a comforting indulgence without overwhelming my senses. The presentation was simple yet inviting, with a delicate sprinkle of cookie crumbs that served as a gentle reminder of the texture and joy that once filled our lives. It was a testament to the attention to detail and the understanding that even in times of heartbreak, beauty can be found in simplicity.
For the fleeting respite it provided in my darkest hour, I wholeheartedly give the Cookie Dough Milkshake a well-deserved five-star rating. It became an unexpected companion, allowing me to momentarily escape the weight of my sorrow and immerse myself in the bittersweet memories of our love. If you find yourself navigating the treacherous waters of heartbreak, I encourage you to seek solace in this poignant and comforting milkshake—a temporary haven for a...
Read moreI had picked up an order for friends sometime ago and decided that the pictures, smells, and descriptions, which all led to the vision of yummy, might be worth the trip. So, on a recent jaunt to Cleveland with a close friend via the I-71 corridor, we made the choice to try this unique dining venue. Mooyah is, by all definitions, a burger joint with a flair of creativity in the design of their fare. For my meal, I ordered the Double Diablo. A sandwich with two beef patties, bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and a spicy mayo. I added grilled mushrooms(cost extra), made it a combo with fries and a drink. I also spent extra for the spicy cheese dip for my French fries. Important things to note: if you prefer to do gluten-free, they do offer a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. They do have a beverage refill station in the dining room if you choose to eat in. Not only does it have the traditional sodas, but they now feature the tractor brand as well, which is an organic beverage company. On to the review. The food was portioned well and quenched my hunger. The fries were fresh and tasty. The spicy cheese dip for the fries was good, but not something that would be a standout when making a recommendation to someone else. The most important part of the meal is the burger. Before I speak on this, let me say there were non-stop people coming in and out of this restaurant every few minutes to either pick up or place orders. Which would normally tell me this is the place to go. My father would have said to pick a place where the cook is a little more filled out at the waist band, because that meant they ate their own cookin' if you catch my drift. My take on the burger is this;
Presentation- It didn't look like the menu photo. Ingredients- Everything that was supposed to be on it was there. Messy- A little (A tasty burger should have a little of that fall apart). Size - looked like a decent sized sandwich. Price- For the combo meal with a small unlimited refillable beverage, grilled mushrooms added, and spicy cheese dip. Almost $24 with tax, for ONE meal. TASTE - This one thing is what makes or breaks a restaurant. Everything else is a minor condition. In this case, I felt the burger meat itself was not prepared with any seasonings. Not even the basics, but rather depended solely on the toppings to carry it over the finish line. To me, the toppings were good, and despite the meal being filling, the taste of the toppings just wasn't enough to support a return visit. As with all things, this is just my take on things. You...
Read moreI’d rate my overall experience at this burger joint a 2/5. I walked in to place a take out order and was not acknowledged by the cashier. She just walked up to the register, didn’t greet me, say hi, or even try to smile. She grabbed her drink, slurped on it and after a solid 3 minutes of awkwardness I said “I’m ready to order”. I then proceeded to order my food and asked about my cup. She then pointed at it and said “It’s right there”. Well, it would have been nice if you grabbed the darn cup and said “Here you go sir, help yourself and your food will be right out”. But no, it’s as if this girl was a mute and couldn’t put a phrase together. Then the male walks out with my bag, hands it to me and I must say he was friendly. She was terrible. Another negative of the restaurant was the audacity of the system to ask for a TIP. 😂😂😂 Wait you want me to tip you for terrible service? Yeah, no thanks.
Food review: The burger was lackluster, dry, not flavorful, no crust and it was mediocre at best. It kind of tasted like a Big Mac but double the price.
Fries: OHHHH the fries. They are by far the WORST fries I’ve had in my ENTIRE LIFE! This is not an exaggeration. The fries are made from fresh potatoes and it’s as if they only deep fry them once (those who know about fries know they have to be fried to a crisp and traditionally frying potatoes twice will get you that beautiful crunchy restaurant quality fry) the fries were soggy, very… very soggy. They had no crisp and no flavor. I wouldn’t recommend giving these things to someone was starving.
Food: 2/5 Service:1.5/5 Cleanliness: 4 everything seemed clean in the restaurant.
Prediction: this place will close in the...
