OK, first, the 1-star reviews? WRONG! I'm here to tell you that of the 50+ times I've been here the servers run their rear ends off and with true, genuine smiles and simply incredible service, like they're actually enjoying themselves getting hammered into a paste by an always packed dining room. The one review about the excellence of Burger Bill's? Went out of business last year, and I couldn't believe the portion for what I paid there, as well as the owner or manager just leaning against a wall barking orders at everyone even though I was the only customer, and I ordered carry-out. Cinda's is excellent food, Amish run, and you can't help but love the atmosphere and food. The portions are excellent for what you pay, and service is simply outstanding. And, Cinda is easily one of the TOP servers I've ever seen in my 57 years on this planet. You will NEVER see her standing around barking orders at people NOR without a GENUINE SMILE. I have NEVER left Cinda's in the least bit dissatisfied nor hungry, and I've never felt I didn't get more than my money's worth. I have no idea about this "old, skinny, sandy blonde" I've seen some people harp about because the servers I've had were Amish LADIES who absolutely BUSTED THEIR ..... to make certain you were WELL taken care of. The ONLY complaint, if you could even call it one, is that they're always so packed and it's sometimes hard to get a parking spot!! They CLEARLY must be "horrible" with that much business. I almost had iced tea shoot out my nose and broke out in laughter when I saw the complaint about Cinda's and the recommendation to go to Burger Bill's dingy, shabby, empty, overpriced "restaurant", that is (again) out of business!! If you like an old fashioned no-nonsense diner with great prices and food, you'll be glad you went here. If you ran a downtown Cleveland restaurant that supposedly seated 700, well, you might want to eat at your own place and leave these WONDERFUL people to those of us that truly appreciate them, their hard work, fair prices,...
Read moreMy wife and I have been to Cinda's a few times before and have had so-so experiences there. We don't live nearby so we don't eat there often but we stop in when we're in town because the food is pretty good. However, we went there on 5/16/19 and had the worst experience ever! When we entered Cinda's we didn't realize they were about to close. The waitress threw the menus down at us and asked us what we wanted. My wife wanted the "all you can eat fish" but the waitress replied "Sorry, but someone forgot to take the fish out last night". I have worked in restaurants, mostly in management positions, for over 35 years and never once has anyone "forgotten" to make preparations for the next's day's big special. While the waitress put in our order we noticed another waitress scurrying about cleaning, sweeping, and mopping. We got our food very quickly and, a few moments later, the lights were turned off. It then dawned on us what was happening. I found out that they closed at 2 pm and it was 2 pm. We were only a few bites into our meals when the lights were turned off. They weren't even going to let us finish our meal!!! They were trying to push us out the door!! Also, instead of the waitress telling us they'd be closing soon, and making another lunch selection (which most good waitresses would do), the waitress lied about the fish special so they wouldn't be there any longer then they had to. We would have really enjoyed getting desert but that was obviously out of the question now. We asked for boxes for our food, paid the bill and left. IT WAS THE RUDEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE MY WIFE AND I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Shame on you Cinda's for making customers feel like that!! We'll never be back!!! I have to give it a 1 star only because there is no "quarter star rating". The...
Read moreI stopped in this small Cafe several years ago and from what I remember, I was not too impressed. It used to be called "Cindy's " (ownership change?) The look on the outside of this place hasn't changed much, but my what an impressive experience I had once inside. Yes, the booths and the furniture look like something out of the 1980s, however I was promptly greeted and served by a wonderful server, April. I ordered breakfast; eggs, sausage, and hash browns. The food was quickly served hot, tasty, and fresh! What really impressed me is that the staff is determined not to let your coffee cup run dry. I love hot coffee ☕️, and the folks here were right on it. The place was busy and I can see why. Not too many places that you can call a diner in this part of the country, but Cinda's qualifies sans the diner car! If you want a slice of Americana in the Midwest, check this local place out. I will most...
