I met some friends at Cold Stone this evening, including a friend who I had not seen in almost a year. I gave my order, paid at the register, left a tip and sat down to enjoy my ice cream with my daughter. A few minutes later after we had all paid and were seated and there was a line of people waiting to order their ice cream, one of the workers raised his voice across the store from behind the counter, demanding to know if I paid. I replied that I had paid. He asked again if I paid. Again, I told him that I had and had left a tip. He, then, asked me again if I paid as if the answer was going to change if he kept accusing me. It got quiet. I was humiliated in front of my friends and a line of strangers at the Middleton Cold Stone Creamery. Read more4/11/25 9pm: Definitely would have rated lower if it wasn’t for Amelio (sorry if I heard your name wrong)! It was just him and one other girl tonight. There was a long wait and kind of weird to only have 2 people work on a Friday night. But the speed wasn’t Amelio’s fault, he alone deserves 5 stars. The girl was going very slow, not sure if it was her first day but not very professional. She was talking a lot, meandering around, and honestly hindering Amelio more than anything.
