Over that last several years I yelped this place a few times. Apparently the owners do not think thatâs a reliable social media outlet so my praises and eventual discontent were never considered worthy of a thanks or apologies. My praise was rooted in both brand approval and product quality. With emphasis on the staff and their contribution.
My more recent singing of not praise, but disdain was largely based on not the sand which. These are typically pretty good and I canât recall ever having one that disappointed. But the rude staff and their apparent unawareness or lack of concern about the customers and the local demographic, thatâs something that the franchise holder might think about. Playing pop music or classic rock or whatever the corporate suits seems appropriate, thatâs something I know a little bit about. I once was a systems designer for the most recognized sound and brand fine tuning company in the world. Dropping no names. Which doesnât matter because they rebranded again around 2000 after they packed up HQ on the west coast and opened shop again on the east coast. Leaving myself back in Seattle to close those doors just prior to the rest of the department I worked in, reopened them in Raleigh. âNuff hints. My point being playing music thatâs both very non demographic pertinent as well as being exceedingly loud, so clientele canât actually hear what the adolescents left to lock the doors at night consider to be acceptable. This coupled with actually sending a customer off with the entire wrong order, thatâs simply not going to fly.
This location went from a solid 4 star compliment laden writing. To a 1. Being a Yelp Elite for 4 years isnât some major credentials akin to the Michelin thing. Hell no. But itâs better than receiving a bad write up from any of the countless Yelpers who only wrote one or two reviews, and only did so because they felt they were sold or...
Read moreNot all locations are created equal. Before going further, I will say that I've never had an issue with the quality/quantity of food at this location. My issues are more with the service side of things.
First couple times I visited this location, I had no complaints whatsoever. Sandwich was always made as it was ordered - no errors. Ate in once or twice and the interior was reasonably clean (aside from a few broken-down boxes on tables in the dining area).
However, the last few times I've been here, the quality of service and attention has diminished. The 3x in question were all within the last 5 weeks. All issues have been with the same cashier. One of the visits I wanted to eat in (I almost exclusively order thru app/pick up). I asked for a plastic cup for water, which all JJ locations have. Was told they were out, so I asked if I could use a JJ branded cup for water, since I'm trying to cut out soda/others. I was told I'd have to buy the cup because they can't give them for free, so I left without asking how much it would've cost for the cup - because if I wanted to buy a soda, I would have. The other two times have been with attention to the customers in line. I ordered both times thru app and drove to the store. Both times I was behind one person ordering in store, so I stepped slightly to the side to indicate I had a pick up order. Both times, the same cashier went to the person that walked in behind me and took their order. Only after they took that order, did the cashier ask me if I had a pickup order. First time, it was a non-issue to me. However, it's becoming a trend. I'd like to give higher than 2*, but the trend is going negative with...
Read moreI usually like eating here. Now mind you this wasn't an exception where things were bad. I think my first issue was walking in trying to get more information about what they were advertising on the door. I got the impression that the cashier may have been new, or at least fairly new. But I had to try several different ways to ask the same thing. And if your employer is advertising it on the door to the business, I think someone failed in educating this woman. Although after she was unable to answer the question multiple times a line worker (sandwich maker) came over to try to figure out what I was trying to ask. He answered my questions and gave me a free sample! Which honestly was the right move. I can't do spicy things and wasn't sure what ranch with a kick entailed. After hearing what was in it I figured I'd never want it, but getting to try it I really like it.
The only other problem I had with my visit is probably not anything related to this location but Jimmy John's as a whole. Due to health issues this year I had all of my teeth surgically removed. I'm healed up and can eat, but until the dentures fit properly I can't bite into anything. I asked for utensils and the response was they don't have those. I understand most people don't go to a sandwich place not planning to eat it with their hands. But even so, when there are condiments in a portion cup that you can get on the side, and no utensils, I...
