The Game-Changer No One Asked for but Everyone Needs
Sometimes, a new spot opens, and you immediately know it's going to shake things up. This is that place. While no one was necessarily asking for it, trust me—every business on this strip is about to see a serious boost in foot traffic, all thanks to this well-established eatery planting its flag here.
Now, let’s get one thing straight—I don’t judge a restaurant’s food in its first month. It’s impossible to get a fair read, good or bad, while a kitchen is still finding its rhythm. But what I can talk about is everything else, and there’s plenty to say.
For starters, parking. Compared to the cramped situation over at Iron Hill Brewery, this location is a breath of fresh air. It’s spacious—something that spot over at Summit Square desperately needed. In fact, if Iron Hill and the rest of the area keep drawing crowds, maybe it’s time to consider a multi-level parking option.
Beyond that, the layout of this new addition is smart. They’ve got an outdoor patio that overlooks a corporate complex, which means once the 9-to-5ers clear out, evening diners can enjoy a meal with minimal background noise. That is, of course, unless they get a little too ambitious and start bringing live music outside—but let’s hope they know better.
Bottom line? The competition just got fierce. The pull of Summit Square just got even stronger, potentially rivaling Brixmor’s stellar Newtown lineup. This is a game-changer, and from what I can see, it’s going to be a barn burner.
Wishing them the best—cheers to...
Read moreWe had a pretty subpar experience here. The cheesesteak was good—my father-in-law really enjoyed it—but that was one of the few highlights. The Mexican corn was just okay, nothing special. The crab fries were nearly inedible—so salty we couldn’t eat more than a few.
Drinks were a major disappointment. I paid $12 for what tasted like lemonade with no trace of alcohol. The $10 margarita was 95% mixer, and even after spending $5 more for an added shot, it still tasted watered down and weak.
The smash burger claimed to come with Mac sauce, but there was barely any on it—dry and bland. The "Smac n Cheese" was a big letdown too: dry, loaded with what seemed like canned jalapeños, and generally unpleasant.
Service was friendly, but spotty. Our server was nice but disappeared after taking our order—no refills on sodas, which is a pet peeve of mine. She spent most of the time by the kitchen while we sat with empty glasses.
The nachos were the only real standout—well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, they weren’t enough to redeem the rest of the visit. With all the disappointments and the high prices, I won’t...
Read moreWe love the Magerks in Hatboro and live near this one so we decided to come check it out. Great atmosphere and definitely a good place to watch sports at. The servers we're great and the food was good. We ate at the bar which we probably won't do again in the future. We sat on the end and a gentleman pulled a chair up from another table and squeezed himself and his wife into a space next to us at an already packed bar. He was extremely rude and we barely had any room to eat as he kept trying to make more room for himself and pushing himself into my wife. She finally had to say something.
I mentioned something to the hostess on our way out and she stated that they cannot control that. People pulling chairs up from different tables and pushing themselves into an already crowded bar is 100% something that can be controlled which I informed her of. A manager then came over and I reiterated my point and she agreed to inform the bartenders going forward.
This really did hinder our first experience here, otherwise this would have been a 5 star review. We will definitely come back...
