The food here is farthest (can’t emphasise this enough) from the incredibly flavourful Mediterranean cuisine that we all love. The rice/lentil base is absolutely flavourless with zero seasoning. The so-called pita that they served is nothing close to the original pita flavor/texture. Falafel felt like it was partially microwaved from a frozen batch. Last but not the least, the chicken in our shawarma bowls were super chewy, cut into huge unappetizing chunks again with zero seasoning and definitely not grilled (if done, done poorly). Felt like eating pieces of chalk. Something is fundamentally wrong with the recipes here as we got 3 different platters and all 3 were equally bad. Overall, saying that this is a disappointing experience would be an understatement. (At this point, we are just praying that we don’t fall sick from the food even though we tossed out...
Read moreWhen we first walked in one of the guys behind the counter welcomed us and asked if we have ever had a falafel. I have not so he proceeded to give us each a falafel. It was delicious.
After looking at the menu we each ordered. You can tell them how spicy you would like your order, which vegetables and sauces you would like. We each got a wrap. The wrap could definitely be a shareable size as they were really big. The picture below is one half of the wrap I ordered. Falafels are free when added to a wrap.
They were making salads for a to go order and they were HUGE portions as well. So I'm guessing all of their items are portioned big.
There are tables to sit and eat and the tables were clean. All of staff were very friendly.
For three wraps, three bottled soft drinks and a bottled water, the cost was $48. Well worth the price for the portions...
Read moreMy daughter, her friend, and I enjoyed lunch here a few days ago. Two of the three of us are seriously gluten-free diners. The staff took good care of the orders to avoid any gluten ingredients or any cross contamination. The Find Me Gluten Free site says they have a gluten free menu. I suppose they do, but it's not printed or posted. You have to ask what you can safely eat if you are a GF diner. The answer is "nearly everything". One of us had beef shawarma, one had chicken shawarma, and the third had chicken fingers and fries. (You can take a person to a Middle Eastern restaurant but you cannot prevent him/her from eating Chicken Fingers. (Sigh.)) The bill was reasonable (about $10/person), and the food was very tasty. The portions are BIG; I couldn't even finish mine. All in all I enjoyed my visit very much and look forward to visiting again when I am...
