China King — Restaurant in Middletown

The restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it last night. Many people were waiting for their food, many were in line to order or pick up their phoned in order and calls were steadily coming in.

The gentleman handling the customers at the counter and on the phone was so calm and efficient. He did a fabulous job! They had so many cooks and a few bagging up orders, all working very well together. It was all very impressive.

Despite the long wait for each of our orders, everyone waiting was calm and patient. Some of us chatted, others just quietly waited. Once in a while someone would show exasperation at the long wait, but I would say all of us could see how hard they were all working, so no-one yelled or even made any snide remark.

It's the best long wait I've experienced at a Chinese restaurant in years. Excellent...

Spent almost $50 on Trash Food, large order of Spare ribs $16.50 and the ribs were OLD and DRY, ordered Roast Pork Lo Mein and it tastes like they dropped the sesame seed oil in it; and jus did choose to remake it, the Beef in the beef and broccoli was over velveted and was CHEWEY TO DEATH… I specifically asked was they rice hard and they told me it wasn’t and not to my surprise it was hard… They used to have good fried chicken wings, now because they’re wings are almost $10, they are big and unflavored… Someone else loves them, cuz they’re still in business, but I’m not going...

I really like this place. The food always tastes fresh which I appreciate. I've noticed some places switching to frozen appetizers and breaded chicken for convenience but you can tell they make their stuff in house and it's delicious. Also their food is appropriately seasoned. (Not too salty like other restaurants in town that I've tried.) The prices are competitive and the service is fast. I'm glad I live right down the road so I don't have to go far for good...
