Umami Buffet — Restaurant in Middletown

Such a good price for all you can eat! The sushi bar was great! It is absolutely worth it to come visit. Lower prices for kids and such a great selection of stuff that you and the kids can be happy The hibachi part is so fun! You pick what you’d like and they make it hibachi style right in front of you. I love these kind of foods too; it was classic style crab Rangoon, the meat inside the dumplings were great (possibly the best I’ve ever had) Good amount of dessert and a ton of very good ice creams. The wonton soup is stored in separate containers which was actually great; the wonton stays together perfectly and has a great texture from being steamed instead of boiled into the soup and you get to have the exact ratio that you want. Ton of crab legs and shrimp etc - usually places like this won’t stock as much but everything was full and constantly replenished. They continuously made fresh sushi and put them back out in the proper order. Staff was friendly and happy to be at work which is a good sign of a nice work...

If I could give no stars I would, got up & grabbed food wh my husband as soon as we sat down I could tell the look on his face about the food & he could see mine! The food was so bad! It tasted so old and dry and wasn't fresh AT ALL! We each had a sip of our drinks and maybe 2/3 bites of food & decided to get out & go somewhere else, my husband went & talked to a guy in front but they are rude! Insulted him too saying " we look at the cameras" they can look at them if they timed us from the time we got our food to when we got up we sat maybe 5/6 minutes & most of that time was us talking about going somewhere else, Idk how you have to be so rude to customers when you can clearly see we barely ate any food! I wanted to give this place a chance & we WILL NOT be returning! I suggest if you go to look at the food before you decide on if you're gonna eat or not! We were pleasantly surprised by this buffet! From the outside, just because of the location, we were a bit hesitant to come in. However, we walked in and decided to give it a shot.

The food was actually pretty good. We tried a ton of things in the buffet, everything was cooked well and the flavors were great. With the variety of food that we tried, I can honestly say nothing was bad. Can’t complain because the hot food was hot and the cold was cold lol. They all had a pretty large selection of both vegetarian and regular food options (hibachi, sushi, appetizers, meat, seafood). Dessert was good too!

Atmosphere of the restaurant is great as well. The tables were pretty, the restaurant was clean. The service was great too. The waitresses were very attentive. Pricing was decent, came out to 20$ a person. Overall we enjoyed it and plan...
