Cox Store — Local services in Middletown

I went to return my modem today and I felt like the two men working there were very condescending. He asked me if I was moving and I said no. He asked me if I was switching over to T-Mobile and I said yes. He said their service isn't that greatwill be seeing you again. When I told him I was leaving because my bill went from $60 to $106 within three years he said that it was because I was on the highest Internet available. I told him I called Cox but I couldn't understand anything because their English was horrible. He then asked me if they speak English at T-Mobile. I said yes I walked into the store and they sent me right up. He said why didn't you walk into this store instead? I didn't get treated like this at all at T-Mobile. The girl set me up and connected everything, even highlighting my admin id network ID and password so I could locate it easily. These guys were like a couple of bullies, had no customer service skills whatsoever and seemed a little threatened that T-Mobile might be taking some of their business. Their conversation with me even caught the attention of another customer and I'm sure they weren't...

People who work there are nice and try to be helpful but the billing is an absolute nightmare.

I canceled and got a prorated bill but then I got another bill the next month for no reason.

I called my credit card to dispute the charge and remove it which they did but cox came back saying that I had to pay for "the final payment" and blamed my credit card company for removing the last monthly bill which I shouldn't have had to pay in the first place.

I started being spammed by Cox so I called customer service and they wouldn't budge.

When I went to this store, they said that I had to pay in the store, cash or check, for this "final payment" which I just paid just to avoid being spammed and harassed by their billing/collections for something which shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Stay away from Cox if you can in the first place, you’ll save yourself the headache...

My kids fathers grandmother died and the grandmother's son came down from Maine to collect her ashes so he's here for a little while...
