Bagel Emporium — Restaurant in Midland Park

Bagels are good, coffee is ok Place was packed good business It just took too long for my order, sesame bagel not toasted with cream cheese, large coffee w cream & sugar. Simple right no bell or whistles. So here is where the problem starts I’ve waited and waited has more customers came in got served ( place the order paid for it waited a little bit and went on their way meanwhile I’m still waiting So after 6 people did this I approached the counter and ask if they had call my number and maybe I didn’t know, no no no the young lady at the counter said “no haven’t call your number yet” so another worker said “I think that’s his order there on top of the counter in the brown bag “ she’s check it and guess what that was my order sitting there for the last 10 or more minutes wow what an experience this has being Is it me? I just don’t look has white has the rest of the customers, I usually never go there ( the race thing) but wow 3 times I was in the bagel shop 2 times I felt like I was profile. But they did said sorry sir has I was walking out In conclusion it’s my money and I choose where to spend it so I guess they “won” by forcing bad service on me and making me choose a different place The thing is now with social media we have voice that reaches much...

Don’t go so often anymore because I don’t live in the area but the last few weeks I’ve been there few times and in all the trips I got there was an issue, like it looks that they always have long line and is not really moving as fast , when is time to order they out of the things always something missing after you pay you wait for so long and God forbid your order it’s right ... Today craziness behind counter like almost no one knows what they doing , orders come out not by order as it Paid for , and I finally got to bagels 🥯 order simple thing drove back home just to find out the food it’s all wrong they put someone else’s order in my bag the receipt was right just the way I ordered but totally different story when I opened the sandwich! The aggravation that I had to drive back and go there and wait in a longer line just to tell them that I got wrong food in my bag ... today was it for me I took my money back because I lost the appetite for whatever they cook in the back . I won’t go back to give them business because I have tolerated their mistakes multiple times and today was the day when this is over for me and my family, there is many bagel places in the area that I can spend my money and on the top they are faster and cheaper ! Very unhappy ☹️...

I have been going to this Bagel Shop for a long time now and would always highly recommend them. Since the Covid crises I have seen that their service and quality of their product go downhill. When I have placed my order lately it is as if the girl taking my order is not listening to what I am saying. I repeat myself almost to the point of embarrassment to ensure she has my order right. Its not rocket science . A well done bagel toasted extra well done with butter or cream cheese. I never used to order mine toasted because their bagels were a nice mahogany color and crispy on the outside. They no longer make them that way so I have learned to order it toasted. No matter who is taking my order the bagel comes out slightly toasted. I have even told them to burn it.I threw my bagel out at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks because it wasn't what I ordered. I will no longer be returning here as I returned my last bagel just now. There was a very nice woman at the counter who I do not see there anymore named Lena. She was the absolute best.I think her absence has been detrimental in the way this place currently...
