US Coney & Cone — Restaurant in Midland

We're not from the area but we stopped in after looking for places to eat on Google, this was the closest coney place and we were not disappointed. I had the BBQ bacon burger, coney fries with a side of garlic cheese curds (if you like garlic and cheese you gotta try these things, they're little deep fried bites of deliciousness) and my wife got the BLT and Caesar salad.

The burger absolutely destroyed my expectations, they do a smash style burger (they smash the burger down into a thin patty after it's put on the grill). It was juicy, crispy and seasoned just right in my opinion. The coney fries were just what you'd expect and there's nothing wrong with that at all, they hit the spot. My wife had no complaints about her food, the salad looked a bit dull but you don't really go to a Coney spot to order a salad and expect something fancy.

The atmosphere had an old school charm to it, it's a small building on a small corner lot. The dining space is utilized pretty well so it doesn't feel cramped. I really liked that the owner was in there working with his crew, I got to have a conversation with him for a little bit, seems like a cool guy and I could hear him in the back joking around with his crew. We will absolutely be coming here again the next time we're in town. I was kinda bummed because I forgot to check out the ice cream nachos, they looked good in the photos. Until next time ice cream...

Listen up Midland, ITS BACK and better then ever!!! Coney's, malts, salads it's got it all!!! Super clean inside, friendly staff. I've been visiting, often, and the only thing I've noticed over time the service counter/condiment counter/exit/waiting area -- it's pretty congested 😕 and hectic. Maybe there's a solution for customers to not feel so cramped 🤷. *this is a add on to the original review. A edit. I did take away a star for service and a star total. I've visited numerous times. And the consistency of the time to wait is kinda crazy. Today I waited for a milkshake while others got their ice cream ((they came in after I did)) the wait time for small things is a little ridiculous... unfortunately The food was beyond!! Me, personally, I can't not get the gooberburger-peanutbutter and pickles 🥒? Can't go wrong! It's delicious! Coney dogs, loaded tots, dole whip, malts it's...

I LOOOOOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Awesome food and prices, truly. I don't know what I'd do without it. I crave it ALL THE TIME, and its ALSO ALWAYS the place I come when I just dont know what to eat and have those days where nothing sounds good. Coney's always sounds good 😉🤍 I believe i met the owner today, and he was SO kind! I placed an online pickup order and there was something that they didn't have ready/weren't selling that day, but they got it ready for me anyways just so they didn't disappoint me... even though yes they're still making a sale, there's definitely a reason they only sell that thing on certain days. They took the time to accomedate me, and its not the first time!

it's never "we cant xyz" with these guys. Support your local restaurant they deserve...
