Never have I ever been accused to stealing at a restaurant when leaving cash but this time, as we sat in the parking lot chatting the server came out and said we left without paying. We told her "how do you figure, you came over and picked up our cash. Two $20's, a $5 and $3 ones. You asked us if we wanted change and we said no it's okay, you can keep it." She said "no you only left me $10 in ones" I looked at by husband and shocked and told him I how could she be lying straight to our faces. She said "let me go check." She goes back inside and comes back out and gives a thumbs up to us and is smiling like as if we are off the hook for something we didn't even do... no apologies, nothing.
My husband asked me when we were sitting there, if we stole a meal why would we be sitting in the parking lot just hanging out?
As far as the food, it was just okay. There was flavor but too much on the enchiladas. My husband started feeling sick before we left so he didn't even finish his plate. The inside was very nice. It had a water feature in the middle of the place and múltiple TVs. The server was nice, until she accused us of stealing.
I was wondering why they put us off in the farthest side of the restaurant but I figured it was my pants. Lol. I wore flannel pants to drop off my kids at school and my husband decided to stop there to eat. I figured they were discriminating on us since everyone else was nice looking and in going out style clothes.
I just wanted to spend time with my husband but this place is not somewhere to go if you have cash and look too...
Read moreThe letters on the door state Chito's is the best sports bar with a Mexican twist. It's usually busy and loud because it is kind of like a sports bar: overhead music, lots of televisions etc. This is a great place to eat if you are into that vibe. I've had most of their entrees and they've all been good. Very consistent food quality between visits. For a long time they had the same service staff or at least a large group of the same people, but today I didn't recognize anyone. Our server was a trainee but she did a good job. If you like fajitas order them on a first visit. They're quick and delicious. The bar is good too. Chito's serves some of the best and creative margaritas in Midland. The bar is open seating and when it's busy it's like a shark tank. Food prices are a bit higher than competitive restaurants but drinks are pretty even, maybe a better value due to the higher quality. Expect a wait. I've waited up to 20 minutes, which isn't too bad for the area. If you're into the vibe and can handle a wait, chances are you'll...
Read moreFood was good! It all had a little different spin than most places but we enjoyed it. Salsa was fresh and spicy which I liked but my wife thought to spicy. Coconut margarita was great however there was a big hunk of foil that they use to top off liquor bottles st nigh but they remade it and made it stronger so we got over it. House margaritas were average. I had the #4 combo pictured and have to say I liked all of it especially the taco and chili relleno. The taco shell was different than a normal shell....they make them in house. The chili relleno I am pretty sure was made with Anaheim pepper instead of Poblano which gave it a much better non spicy pepper forward flavor. Wife had the #6 and she seemed to enjoy all of it. Overall, I would go back for sure. Try it out if you get the craving for thisntype.of cuisine. It does have a bar but we were not in the mood for loud this particular evening but do know the music was fairly loud so we actually moved to a normal...
