I got the cheeseburger and fries. I did not like the flavor or the fact I had to wipe mayonnaise off as I did try my best to eat it. There is definitely a language barrier as bo one that works here has English as thier first language. Then when I tried to pay for the meal I didn't eat , the cash register lady got mad because I didn't like the food. She then went back to the table and told the only Spanish speaker at the table that I was rude and couldn't come back. As if I ever would. Nestled deep on Midlands historical Florida Avenue sits a magnificent restaurant called… well La Florida!

Best salsa in town people. There I said it. You may disagree but if you have gone to La Florida and tried the salsa you likely already agree with me.

The wait staff is extremely friendly and I probably will return over and over just because of them.

Their food isn’t really Tex-mex; it’s closer to real authentic Mexican food. I got the enchiladas and they made me sing zippity doo daa!

Florida avenue quietly has some of the best eateries in Midland… get out and try La Florida if you enjoy real Mexican food.

I moved away and recently came back in town and found this honey hole..the breakfast is very good .the Menudo is the best I tasted in town almost as good as my grandma made it ...keep up the excellent work ..and the women that work their are very helpful and friendly and ..next step is to expand this business...I travel a lot every day in different towns and cities .this place is one of my top five restaurants...
