Myself, my husband, and our 2 kids went in at lunch time. About 12:15. We were told to seat ourselves despite the sign saying wait to be seated. We found a booth and had to grab a high chair ourselves. The hostess/waitress had no sense of urgency the entire time. She got us drinks quickly but the rest was downhill from there. Took 20 minutes for her to come back and take our order since we didn't want the buffet. Then after 30 minutes waiting for a large pizza and order of breadsticks we finally got our pizza. No breadsticks. The waitress said she didn't know what happened to our breadsticks but they were throwing some in now, and some cinnamon breadsticks to comp for the ridiculous wait. Then after 10 more minutes a woman came out from the kitchen and asked which dessert we wanted. We picked the Brownie because our kids would like that better than the cinnasticks anyway. Waited even more and finally got our Brownie to go. But no check, and we needed a to go box for our pizza. Meanwhile the waitress never refilled our drinks. She was running the entire front of the restaurant herself! Excuse was they were shortstaffed today. My husband had to get up and find someone to get our check, the waitress brought it to the table. He then had to bring it to the front to pay because she never came back to collect it. I dont think we will be back anytime soon. Read moreWe took our kids out for pizza after school;on a friday, and left Pizza Hut at 445. My 4 year old son forgot his cars on the table, which included his favorite school bus. My husband called by 5, to ask them to hold the cars so I could grab them on my way home from grocery shopping. Somehow in an hour the cars went from everyone seen them sitting on top of the pop cooler, to nobody can find them. They barely looked, and some lady came up to me with a smart little smile "sorry hun I'm the bearer of bad news, we can't find them." So at 630 I went to Target to try to replace them. How incompetent that you can't hold onto something for an hour. I waited for 25 minutes while nobody looked, to be told eh whatever. It may not be a big deal to them, but to a 4 year old little boy, he was absolutely devastated.
We went to use my daughters free pizza coupon for her reading calendar. It was $30 for a couple drinks, an order of breadsticks, and a medium thin crust pizza! Our daughters was free. They had 1 waitress on staff covering 8 tables, and maning the front register. We ordered extra banana peppers on the pizza. When she delivered it to the table she said, "I said double, but that definitely doesn't look like double." But you better believe they charged us for double! Plus, I had to go find someone to refill our cups as we waited 15 minutes and she still hadn't come back. Horribly staffed, terrible business. We won't be back, and I'll be tell everyone I know...
Read moreUPDATE: Decided to give it one more shot. Ordered a pizza with just pepperoni, then one with pepperoni on the whole thing - pineapple on one half and bacon on the other... the server brought out one pizza with bacon and pepperoni, and another pizza with pepperoni and pineapple... he noticed the mistake and said they were remaking the plain pepperoni pizza.... came out with a pizza that had pepperoni on the whole thing with half bacon and half pineapple... we never did get the plain pepperoni pizza.... it took my fiance saying something before we were told the pizza would be taken off our bill. I know food service isn't always easy but it feels like they don't even try. And again... they didn't write anything down! Another employee did come out and adjust our bill but it's just too much headache to keep coming back.
We used to love Pizza Hut, and the Midland location is a convenient place to stop after church. However, the food quality and consistency has declined, and they seem to be severely understaffed as there is only one server every time we go on Sundays. Service times can be pretty long because of this and it's frustrating that they don't write things down when taking your order because things are often forgotten or wrong and then we have to wait even longer to have it corrected. We will likely be finding a new place for lunch. The claw...
