Torino's Pizza Bar — Restaurant in Midland

One of my friends brought me here for her Birthday and I liked the wings. The Service was Subpar then but, its her birthday. Fast forward til last night. I called in for Wings and she couldn’t find it at first. So I decided on a vodka with cranberry right. I see it and noticed that it going to be light of the rip. Ok I drink it and order another right. This one was even more darker. I asked her, “Am I going to taste the vodka in this one?” That pissed her off. She replied, “You should have ordered a Double if you wanted to taste the vodka.” Now mind you I don’t complain about drinks this probably my first time doing this or I can’t remember. So I’m kinda torn. So I asked her to replace my drink with a double easy vodka. She mad now. Her response was, “You should have done this at first.” What!! Ok bet. No problem now I don’t want it and I’m ready for my bill....

I ordered a pizza to go over the phone on a Sunday night around 9 pm. My order was ready when I arrived. There were only a couple of guys at the bar (where I paid for and received my pizza) and a few people in the back room which looked like a billiard room with another bar.The bartender was nice although she kept calling me "sweetie" and I'm old enough to be her mother. The pizza wasn't cheap, 18.99 for a large pepperoni and it had the thinnest crust I've ever seen on a pizza! It tasted no better or worse than every other pizza place in town which was disappointing as I had hoped that a "pizza bar" would make something better or at least different from the boring, bland pizza-chain fare. There were other choices on the menu so if I return, I'll definitely try something other than pizza. Mostly this place seems like a bar that happens to...

We found the service to be attentive, the beer menu had something for the both of us, and we appreciated the UFC fight being on. The sriracha lime boneless wings were great. Unfortunately, we feel strongly that the pizza has changed for the worse. Last time we were in was pre-virus, but if we would’ve known that the pizza we ordered recently wasn’t going to be as I remembered, I absolutely would not have recommended them for the evening. It was rather bland dough, when I remembered a more buttery/rich flavor. It was just lifeless and chewy, though I remembered it being a bit fluffier (still thin, though) yet with a nice crunch. The sauce was just a hair too sweet for our tastes too. Toppings and cheese were good, though.
